That's the best first run I've ever seen I know growers that have been at it for 20+ years that have never a achieved half that density.

Good idea on the multiple locations, especially if your trying to build a following definitely starting from a strong position
3rd attempt going much better. Its in a 32x32 vs a 5x5 so yields will be less but Ive stepped the pruning game up a few notches so quality is better.

Since we are talking g/watt, this is under a farmlite 260 watt led. I had it maxed for a couple weeks mid flower but majority of the run its been at roughly 75%. Also had 2x100 watt panels running in there at 50% mid flower but the heat on the res wasnt worth it. They only ran for 2-3 weeks.

this makes me think about the dutch weedforum when the first cxb3950 leds came out they were also running them 40% dimmed with diy board getting insane results.

That dude from autoflower forum is INSANE tho.......

How much g/w have y archived yourself, no way 6g/w dry is possible, maybe for really experienced grower 20y+, in hydro, max. C02, max. Ferts, and always perfect VPD, but even then not sure if it could be archived.
What was your max. dryweight per g? @GasPlease @Florida_Mike @jadins_journey @gmonster714 @Mikedin and ofc @Captspaulding who is currently inactive. Those are the biggest yielder which came in my mind, surely missing some guys..
0.6 g/w running hid’s

Didn't expect that!
But the plants benefit from higher temperature or anything else?
Man your grows always looks stunning, the cost would be enormous here.
Guess my electricity prices are mostly similar with the once in uk, not compareable to the us..?

Grow runs $200 a month and that’s inclusive. So $200/1.25 lbs. I’ll take that deal any day of the week

Not for 6 months! Lol. At least that I'm aware of. You can get an extra 4 weeks in the total lifecycle, maybe 6 weeks. You're only getting 1-2 extra weeks of veg with the 420scrog method.

But you're right about the difference in grow times. The whole g/watt is basically comparing yield to electricity used and all variables need to be considered to get an accurate estimate.

g/kwh wraps those variables up into something you can use to compare different grows. It's the most tedious to figure out but if you're looking for a solid metric indoors, that's it.

Edited to add: from a business standpoint $$$

easy to set up get a measuring device before all the stuff.for a big guy he can use the cost of the whole building and for us hobby tent grows you can buy a plug its 10$ up to 4KW of power.
but still you have one year cold soo you spend power on heat next year dry you spend power on humidity next year perfect just fans and light....

The way I've always understood it: it's g/w of just the light(s) wattage used, not grams per total power used (kwh). The only real difference then is the amount of veg time. Co2, fans, ac, bla bla bla.... none of that is in the g/w calculation and doesn't matter until the conversation changes to; "holy fuck! how did you grow that much, that fast". If extended veg times are used; then that should be mentioned up front. This I believe started as g/watt, not
g/kwh convo..... my .02 ✌ïļ

That being said, the best I've managed is around 2 g/w...

Even if you just count only the light, g/kwh let's you compare different light cycles like auto vs photo or factor in the run time like you mentioned. A sativa auto on 18/6 that takes 10 weeks will "score" much lower than an 8 week photo on 12/12.

True that was the original idea to see how much can a lamp give.
But i dont like it since you can get a fraction more if you spend double the time or energy or other machines. 2g/w is not soo amazing if i can do 2 grows of 1.15g before you finish your 2g

When they show 36plants in a 3x3 i say wow but again its the plant count that gave more...
Soo yea i dont know how much this g/w is really a braging right

I can't get anywhere near 2g/w now days, that was back in the gorilla days under hid's.... These days it's prolly around 1.15 if I'm lucky...
