Do you have to grow out door in the winter there does it get too hot in summer.
in some parts yes definitely, im at the ocean in wine country no issues with too much heat. i dont grow outdoor in winter, i dislike being outside during that time, s.a.d.
that said winter is only really 3 months of the year here

Sorry didn't see your question about taking some plants all the way through using knf.ya did 4 grows at my place one outdoors.couple grows at my buddies same home made nutes.
have you taking one through to flower using this method

soil yes, its not illegal but its not legal yet either we are experiencing decriminalization here since 2018 its been going great
i have my reasons for preferring it this way where are you growing from

what brand do you guys like for tent and lights.im thinking of getting a 4×4.

Gorilla tents are the best probably [and most expensive].
I believe bar lights give better spread and performance than most board type lights.

I am Mars Hydro and so are a few other quiet members.
This is a SpiderFarmer site so guess what others will say.
I would ask them^^ for a free light if you are willing to do a diary. You would not be the first, or tenth....
Viva [ another sponsor on site ] is making offers also I have read.
I won't use either of them when I need to replace, but some dig free lights.
There are a lot of choices.
I watched a ton of video reviews before I bought 2 FC8000's. Heres one video but the one that convinced me [ I can't find it..].
