I’m going to duct my dehumidifier out of my grow space. Will this create any problems with the unit as far as it working properly.

Curious if anyone has experience or knowledge on this topic! Thank you!

I do it. I made a cardboard box tapered down to a 6” vent hose and it blows out. No problems here. The radiant heat is still a couple degrees or more added to the space while running. I am sure that mine has more radiant with cardboard used. If you could get ahold of aluminum and shape it and seal it, you would substantially be able to reduce the radiant heat coming from the material used for the box.

Excellent! Thank you for the pic and info! I have some scraps left over from insulating the space and was thinking about coming up with something with that.

Hey @Bdubs forgot to ask how long have you been running your setup ducted like that? Really just curious of the life span of the unit (don’t want to have to get another one prematurely).

I’m watching the ACI app and the dehu just kills my awesome conditioned air temp of 73! Hahaha! Will be working on that the next few days. Thanks again!
