Fan silencers. do they work well?

The rubbermaid tub is a great idea. I'm gonna do that to my 6in. Fan. Love this site!

nothing like something that's cheap, easy, & works great.

i am sure you can scale the box/tube size up or down to suit space & air volume needs.

I live in an apartment and use a muffler, it works pretty well doesn't silence the fan so you don't hear it but it does enough so you can sleep and it not bother you cause its so loud.
