I’ll post my grows and strains I’m working on here. My current grow which is my first under a completely new setup. I’m going from a garage with a 10x10 and MH/HPS to a basement w/ a 3x3 and 4x4 w/ LED’s.
Here’s my current grow that has 2 strains I created and stabilized to F4, Cheese Bread & KisMet. As well as 2 beans I found in Dispensary bags, Gorilla Glue #4 & Lemon Pie. I’ve also included where the genetics were sourced on my strains.

It’s starts with creativity (I love to clean house on it) and then I end up “zoning” on something, Movie, Game, etc. It also has excellent pain killing capabilities. What I truly love is the lack of “burnout” afterwards. The taste is earthy sweet with a piney after taste.
Sorry folks, I’m 50 and things like terpenes, etc are kinda knew to me. Call me old school but everything I learned was from others showing me, reading books, and doing. For example, I’m learning LED’s rock, but they’re a whole different monster than HID’s.

Sounds awesome.

I have some beans for Caribe (Jamaican x (Jamaican x (NL5xHaze)) that I think I am going to try. I am hopeful it will be something like you are describing because that is what they describe and that is exactly what I am hoping for.

Edit: Just read your bio. I am sorry to read about the pain you are managing. It sounds truly horrendous.

My next crossing project will be a project involving Freak Genetics Blackberry Bread (Sweet Bread(Cannarado) x Blackberry Hammer(Jordan of the Islands)) crossed with my Cheese Bread. I’ve already talked to Frimpong over at Freak and he’s onboard. I’ll post that as I go. The first thing I need to do is pop the 10 Blackberry Bread seeds I have and pick the best two parents to create F2 seed stock. Then it’s s matter of pheno hunting through those to find that right lady and crossing it with a exceptional male example of my Cheese Bread. I’ll also take pollen from the best male of Blackberry Bread and cross that with a beautiful female of Cheese Bread. I’ll grow both crosses until I find the best mother and father of both those crosses and mate those two. Thereby giving me F2’s. The whole project will start after this current grow.

So I’m switching from a 10x10 tent with a 1000 watt MH/HPS to a 3x3 and one, soon to be two, 4x4’s. I played with the 3x3 and a Mars Hydro TS1000 and am VERY happy with the results for only using 150 watts. Now the 4x4’s will be another inexpensive test of lights with 2 Sunraise QB-2000’s in each 4x4. I didn’t want to invest $1000’s in pro lighting until I learned how to operate cheaper ones (distances, power levels, etc.). These were both recommended by a fellow grower that I know has good results/yields.

Here’s my current set up.
3x3x60” tent
Mars Hydro TS1000

The 3x3 with the current grow week 5.

4x4x80” tent
2 Sunraise QB-2000
AC Infinity T series fan

The current grow in the 4x4 week 6 just before LST and defoliation.

The current grow now. Back left: GG #4, Front left: KisMet, Back right: Lemon Pie Front right: Cheese Bread.
Canopy is evening out and I’m about a week away from flip.

I also grow organic. Here’s my soil mixture.

Seedling and 7-8 weeks veg:
Fox Farm OF or Detroit Nutrients WO
Amended with:
Nematodes
Dr Earth’s Organic 4-4-4

Flower:
Fox Farm OF or Detroit Nutrients WO
Amended with:
Nematodes
Worm Castings
Organic Compost (No Manure!!)
Dr Earth’s Flower Girl 3-9-4
Vermiculite

So here’s something I do that may be like something most of us do in one firm or another but I think my way might be a little unique. So I go to Lowe’s at the beginning of winter and have a relationship worked out (no money just a good customer) with the person that runs the nursery. At the beginning of winter they throw away their NICE commercial plant trays. For ALL kinds of plants. I’m given these before they hit the trash to include seedling trays. I’ve been doing this for going on 12 years.
So in both my old home and this one I’m dealing with cold concrete floors. To keep my roots happy I lay a layer of some of these trays on my tent floor.

On top of these I lay two 23.5”x47.5” quarter inch thick boards

Then I put the floor cover on.

This raises the floor off the concrete and creates a barrier between the cold and my plants roots. Hope you found this interesting. The work never stops!!!!

Love the insulation trick. I thought you were going to just plop the pots down on there!

BTW the 4x4 is a AC Infinity tent designed to work with their T series fans. I love this thing!!!!

Ooooooooooo

My problem is i have a cockatiel and green cheek conure living in the same room as the tent and the conure chewed through my last temp probe cord so i hide them now haha.

No, slow growth, stunted plants, etc. Back when I first started learning. The guys that taught me were assholes too. They wouldn’t just tell me the answer to my issue. They’d tell me it was in the “books” (We didn’t have the internet as we know it in 1994). So I had to read through 10 different books written by Ed Rosenthal and Company until I eventually figured it out. Hard way to learn but in the end worth it.

Another unique thing I do is regarding heaters. I don’t like them in the tent because they create hotspots around the heater and one of my friends lost his house due to a heater in his tent. So my solution was to make a rig using a 300 watt reptile heating lamp to heat the air slightly before it enters my tent.

The lamp never gets hot enough to combust and it raises my temps 3-4 degrees. Without this my temps run 71-73 (on my canopy) with the light on amd no heat lamp. 74-79 with it. I shut it on and off as needed with a “smart plug”.

This is how I learn too. No way I'm just taking the word of some guy on the internet over cervantes, rosenthal, clarke, etc.

I find translation to be the skill most lacking or uneven in working with students (i teach a lot of test prep to get students perfect ACT and SAT scores) and being forced to acquire a coherent big picture model into someone's mind w.r.t. a subject is so useful. It's like the difference between being bottle-fed and learning to use utensils to successfully eat your food. Too often students are just being led along from one chapter test to the next and not stepping back to re-gather and apply their knowledge.

You see it here with people flying blind and following instructions from a mentor like they are at hogwarts or something rather than getting a picture of what the plant is doing and solving things themselves.

Day 56:
Starting to see the pistils pull back into the calyx and the calyx’s swell. Way back when, we used this and the amount of pistils turning red as our marker it was time to harvest in about a week (which is actually right according to amber trichome development, or lack there of). Also trichome production is nuts. She’s FROSTY!!!!

I cupped a top/crown with my hand as these are 2.5 - 3.5 inches thick, Dense/tight, and covered with a thick layer of trich’s. So no, I don’t have knobby little fingers....lol. Just wanted to give some perspective as to the size of these. I have 25+ of them and twice as many secondary sites as well. I’m happy with the outcome and expect a pretty good yield.

Unfortunately whether fully ready or not she’s coming down on the 25th. The wife has planned a vacation now that we’ve had our “zombie shots” to Fla. I’ve planned my soil amendments well as Her nutrients are almost used up as Im seeing some yellowing on day 57. I’ll start hitting her every day with a gallon of water, which she’s taking that now with no complaints every other day with under 10% run off. But doing that everyday will flush everything over the next 5-6 days. I don’t wet trim. Not trimming the leaves will help ensure a slower drying time. I like to get 10-12 days at less than 68 degrees and a RH from 50-60%. I usually check them on day 6-7 and gauge from there. I don’t want to over dry, you know? By cutting her on the 25th I can get in a 10 day drying time and the first week of cure. I’m thinking 2 half gallon mason jars. I’ll just take it with us and continue the cure while in Orlando. I’m projecting a 3-4 ounce yield.
