Feeding question ??

When I begin to hand feed my girls do I make up the solution by the water amount I'm feeding or the 5 gallon container they are in?

If I'm using 1 gallon to feed them should I mix my solution as 1 gallon or I'm using 2 5 gallon planters should I mix my solution as 10 gallons

i believe it goes off the total amount of water being used.

And when I feed just water my ph is 7.1 should I ph down it to 6 before feeding
