In this thread I will be completing a thread that I was forced to abandon by unforeseen circumstances.
I will be reversing a plant using home made colloidal silver spray and producing seeds which will then be tested and documented on here.

I have put down the seeds for the reversal batch of plants today and I will be putting down the mother plants in 2 weeks.

The timeline should be as follows:

Present - put down first batch of seeds(father batch)
2 weeks - put down second batch of seeds (mother batch)
4 weeks - pick female from father batch of seeds to turn and begin spraying
5 - 6 weeks - pick female from second batch for pollination and stop spraying father plant
11 -12 weeks - harvest fem seed and begin testing them

For this run I will be using a secret strain that has never been released to anyone outside the company members. This is her first public outing and for now I will be referring to her as "weapon X" her real name will come out in due course.

Ok we are off and running!

I put down 7 seeds and they all cracked as you can see here
20150907 160837

I put most of these seeds directly into their final pots, 3 are in 6l airpots, 3 are in 8l root pouches(like smart pots), and the final one is in a 500ml party cup.

I will be making a new batch of colloidal silver in a week or two for this project, fresh is always best!
These plants should show sex within the next 3 weeks, at which point I will select a female to become the father plant and begin spraying it with colloidal silver.

I will be putting down the next batch of seeds in just over a week, just before the first batch has shown sex.

For this run I will be leaving the reversed plant in the grow space and letting nature take its course so I should get thousands of seeds from the 3-4 mothers. In addition to this I will be collecting some pollen for future use which I will also show here.

A week has gone by and all the seeds are above ground and growing now.

I made a mistake last time only 5 are in pots and the other 2 are in cups. I have taken a few pics of the ones in pots, hopefully one of these will be a strong female that I can reverse.

Here are the babies at around 7 days old

They should all show sex within the next 2 weeks, so for now I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that I have got the right plant to turn in this little lot.

hey guys

the first batch of weapon x are nearly 2 weeks old now so its time for the next batch(mothers) to go down.
I will be putting down 6-8 to ensure that I get a good few females to choose from

I managed to have a slight hiccup with my light, it was too low so it burned one plant and did not fully cover the others. I have now fixed this so hopefully things will be moving along without too much fuss.

here are the plants, I have given them numbers now so I can tell them apart.

Hopefully they will start to show sex within the next 10 days and the real fun can begin.
as soon as they do show sex I will be looking for my candidate to spray with colloidal silver

Awesome! What have been the size difference between indoor and outdoor harvest in previous generations. Harvests similar?

harvests outdoors can yield 50 - 100% more if the conditions are right i.e. in direct sunlight for most of the day
the unrestricted root space provides the boost it needs to do more

That #3 is going to be something special.. sure hope its a girl. Going to have to start following this thread, never used the colloidal silver but know peeps who do.. I feminized my first plant by flipping the light schedule back n forth several times using a stressing method that worked pretty good as most resulting offspring were about 95% females with no hermie issues. Not sure if I just got lucky or what as I was relatively new to growing, but it was fun and I learned, sometimes that's enough eh? much luck on this project M8te

Time to catch up, I have got 2 updates to do so here goes

Things are going nicely now the first batch has started to show sex and the second batch of seeds have cracked and sprouted tails so everything is running to schedule

Number 4 showed sex early and was a male so he had to go

I am going to let the other 4 go for another week so I can see how they all develop before I start spraying, I have got my eye on number 2 with the wide indica leaves.

Here is how they look at 3 weeks

Week 4

The first batch have all shown sex and the four remaining plants are all female so I have a good selection of potential fathers to choose from.

I am not going to turn this one, it was below average all the way through, but I will let it grow and finish

This is the one I have chosen to reverse. I chose this one for its smell and wide indica leaves. I have started spraying this plant daily with my home made colloidal silver. Hopefully in a couple of weeks we should see pollen sacs forming.

This one was nearly chosen as the father plant it has a nice structure but it just got piped to the post.

This one has never fully recovered from being burned at the start, and now it is showing new signs of nute burn at the top. White tips on the leaves is never good! I didn't use this plant because it was a bit leggy/stretchy.
I gave her a light feed and I will check the soil ph, hopefully I can get her back to full health

SECOND BATCH (MOTHERS)
The second batch are all above ground now. I have put 2 of them in 6 litre airpots and 2 are still in the 500ml cups
I am hoping for 2 viable mothers from this batch but I will settle for 1 as the mutant is ruled out already. They should be ready to accept pollen just when the reversed one is dropping it, that's the plan anyway.

Here they are at around a week old

The three way mutant plant and the smallest one are still in a cups

another late update!

The plant chosen to be reversed has now been sprayed for a week so hopefully next week we will see male parts appearing.
I have donated the other plants from batch 1 to friends as I need the space. I have put down some more seeds as backups to the mother and these need the space.

That means that no 2 will now just be called the father plant.
I definitely have a soil problem the pics in this post were taken on Monday and I just looked at them and there is a lot of fading in the leaves, which you will see next update(hopefully Tuesday).
My new soil ph spike came yesterday and I have got a supply of dolomite lime and sulphur pellets ready to correct the problem and hopefully get them back to full health.
All my new plants will be put in a different batch of soil to ensure this doesn't happen again. Its really annoying me because I didn't follow my own rules and test the soil before planting and during waterings.

Here is what the father/reversal plant looks like after a week of spraying

SECOND BATCH - MOTHERS
Two of the four I put down are now dead. I killed the two below
20151012 204753

The three way one got killed because of the mutation and the small one was just not doing anything so it had to go.

The other two in pots are still going but are suffering from my soil problem
You can see the burn on the first one of these potential mothers

The smaller one is looking ok but it will get a full check up tomorrow with the rest of the plants.

I have found and treated my problem!

I got a cheap soil ph tester and tested all the plants I am currently growing. it turned out that I used all the bad soil on the plants being used for this thread.
20151019 133115

As you can see the soil ph was sitting at around 6 so its not surprising that I was getting nutrient lock out.
once I identified the problem I treated it by using a pen to poke 6 holes in the soil halfway between the side of the pot and the stem. I then sprinkled 1.5 teaspoons of lime over the top of the soil. I used the teaspoon to mix up the top layer of soil and lime(being careful not to damage roots) and watered the lime in. the lime naturally filled the holes as I watered and spread the lime all the way through the pot.

The father plant is a bit behind at the moment, I put that down to the lockout, but we should see male parts on the next update. Right now she is looking a bit pale on top

20151019 150536

The mother plants are doing ok, but were also in bad soil. I have decided on a mother from the first mother batch and the other one is going to be killed. I potted up 5 new ones on Monday so there are plenty more potential mothers on the way

This is the one that will be killed. It is the stretchy pheno and I want to keep this one a bush rather than a tree.
