Hi,

My Sensi Skunk Autoflower outdoor is now 94 days old since germination. The trichomes look clear to me through a loop (but it`s my first time). This is one of 3 plants I have. And the main bud seems a bit stretched compared to the other plants. Also there are less pistels in the upper part of the plant. The pistels that are present are mainly brown. And lower in the plant there are more buds with white pistels. What does it look like to you guys? wait a some more? or harvest the pant? harvest some buds that look ready?

Thanks!

Pretty normal the way outdoor weed grows. Tops finish first and bottom half takes longer. Keep looking at the upper half till it's got cloudy trichomes in the bud i would'nt harvest before that. It's up to you if you just want the ripened part to harvest first then leave the plants lower parts to grow longer.

Buys a Jewelers loupe, practice with Jr. Do nor check the trim leaves look at the nug itself and you will be gravy. Mostly cloudy is best potency, amber is sleepy and less potent, clear is empty

If the weather is not a concern, I think the buds would benefit from a bit more time….let em ripen up just a little.
Thanks for your effort to help me out! The weather is good for the next 10 days. But I notice Summers's ending and mornings and evenings are a bit colder and more dew is present. I was surprised there was a mold spot on another autoflower I have , a Big bud. I have been so careful with sheltering the plants when rain was coming. They have not had any direct rain on the plants since flowering. But apparently the mold got a hold of the plant, maybe due to high humidity in the morning. I cut out the bud carefully and disposed it immediately. Checked the plant after washing my hands and hope for the best. I check the trichomes with a Carson pocket microscope (60x-100X). The images are so clear compared to pictures I find on internet that I doubt Clear vs cloudy. I will have to experience the next days if there is a change in trichome clearness. Hard to see so far even though the examples on internet are obvious.

I'd say she's just about right. I'm seeing some bud swell. The trichomes look mature. If she was my plant, I'd harvest. 👍

Thanks for your effort to help me out. So the swelling is what you see as a sign. How would you define "swelling"? weird question maybe but I want tot learn. The plant looks the same to me as it did last week. Would you harvest the more ripe buds and leave the ones lower in the plant with white pistel to enjoy the sun for a week or so?

I always partial harvest! The ones I leave don’t necessarily get any bigger, but they do get riper. You’ve got the equipment and the knowledge! Trust your judgment!

And if you’re close to the finish line, the appearance of mold can play a big part in your decision! Keep your eyes peeled! And when, in doubt, in my experience, go on little longer! Enjoy the ride!

I think I got ya: Mold is early harvest (or try to cut out the bad parts carefully) , no mold is take it for a ride and go an extra few miles as long as the weather allows it , right? ;)

If you’re close to the finish line! I’ve chopped three or four weeks early and the stuff wasn’t hardly worth smoking! The earlier you chop, the worse, it will be! It’s kind of a balancing act! Your climate has a ton to do with it! And don’t be afraid to experiment! Chop off a little bud and dry it and try it! Might help with making decisions in the future!

ok, clear assignment. I live in the Netherlands, and we are experiencing some good weather (unique event!). I will look out for diseases and keep it going as long as possible. Thanks!

Not yet. Don't worry about harvesting piece by piece either.

Thanks, I will wait an focus on TRICHS and mold. And experiment a bit with harvesting parts. While keeping in mind that too early harvesting is a bad smoke ;)
