Do you use silica?Hey all, day 35 of flower and its sticky and stinky in here but in a good way ofcourse lol. They're packing on weight, I had to do some string work because the tops were laying all over each other and some were hanging underneath lol. Plucked a few biggest leaves that were crowding also. Deathstar looks kinda funny but I think it was locking out due to toxic nute buildup, ppms and ph of runoff were way high, double ppms as went in and a touch over 8 ph which my feed is 6.5 usually. Im changing my feeding habits back to doing small amount of run off and going to give only water every 3rd feeding so I will hopefully avoid build up in the future. Im going to invest in a trellis for next run to try out.
On a side note, my hands and arms feel like I dunked em in glue lolView attachment 1158634View attachment 1158633View attachment 1158635View attachment 1158636View attachment 1158637View attachment 1158638View attachment 1158641View attachment 1158643View attachment 1158644View attachment 1158651View attachment 1158640View attachment 1158652
Probably too late. Now is about when I stop using it. But next run you should try it starting early. You wiill be amazed at how strong the stems are and how solid the bud is- I know I was. That's the best tip I got from this site. Not yet, going to start using armor si soon tho. Isn't it supposed to help with stem strength?
The silica makes the ph crazy high. They say mix that first, then calmag, and main nutes last. Then adjust ph as needed.Right on yea I meant for next run lol. Im low on calmag anyway so probly going to order both that and armor si soon, does it throw mixtures off at all? Wondered if I would have to adjust nutes differently
No doubt! But hey! I bet you have a wicked yield considering how heavy those buds are.Lmao thanks bud, hope to hang up the strings after this run, I've got 4x8 scrog net for next run and excited to be done with 8 bazillion strings everywhere lol
sweetSup y'all day 50 flower, they're bulking up good. Had to string up a bunch more of the deathstar buds. Fed them yesterday, think i will lower ppms more than i have already from here on. Couple weeks left im guessing, maybe a day or 2 longer depending how they look. Smells soooo gooooood in there lol the deathstar is loud af! Still unable to get any deathstar clones to root sooo my next run is all the same unknown frosty strain. I wonder if this stain of deathstar is just whooped from years of cloning clones or what, it gets more fussy every time I grow a cut. Atleast it's making big stinky buds. Probly gonna lose this strain but oh well, there's thousands of other strains to try yet lol. Ive got a couple seeds I may pop for run after next to keep some variety goin. Even if I don't, atleast the frosty unknown strain is healthy and resilient and tastes greatView attachment 1164189View attachment 1164191View attachment 1164190View attachment 1164192View attachment 1164193View attachment 1164194View attachment 1164195View attachment 1164196View attachment 1164197View attachment 1164198View attachment 1164199I had flash on in the yellowish pics
I'm only quoting Aqua Man here, but it works for me. Silica, give twenty minutes to dissolve, come back *adjust pH down to 6.0*, then add Calmag. The silica will bring pH of even my RO water up to 9-10, adding 3ml per litre. Add Calmag to that and you get sediment. The silica makes the ph crazy high. They say mix that first, then calmag, and main nutes last. Then adjust ph as needed.
We've had our first bit of warm weather for the year so my tent is sitting at 74, I had humidity down around 40 with my 4-inch inline, but fitted filter yesterday as they are starting to stink, and now can't get it below 70 RH even with the warmer temps. Think I'm gonna need a dehumidifier...Most of the leaves i pinch off are on the frosty strain. Funny the frosty ones are getting some purple at the tops but it's been anything but cold in there lol high 70s low 80s. The heat and humidity is getting hard to keep down, think im due for carbon filter it's been used full time for around 20 months. Ive changed the pre filter about half a dozen times. Going up to 6 inch soon probly. Been leaving the tent more open than usual to help
