Pet smart and other store mark up this product because people need them right away for their reptiles..calcium uptake or something... i try to search amazon first...you will get defective bulbs sometimes and they replace no problemu can get em from the Petsmart store .... fer reptiles aquarium

The 5.0 is a tropic bulb...where the tree canopy would block a lot in nature.

They charge 30 bucks each i thinkits Petsmart and Pet Supermarket here instore ....easy replacement if needed
