ya ...i worked at alot of shops...every1 knew each other at diff shops...u could work 8 hrs at regular job, then go work at another shop and get all the over time u wanted....ah, the good ole days....that was 85-05....full web presses and sheetfeds....was a great job man

Right? When the copy changed from black and white to color copies I saw the writing on the wall. The Mac and home printers made a lot of smaller printing jobs obsolete.

We had a sweet government contract and could have gone on forever those government fuckers are stupid.

we used to print alot of magazines...and all the brochures for Disney and Universal Studios....porn was great... retouching all the Hoes to make em look sexy was fun as hell hahaha..Cheri magazine was awesome back then lmao

Yup. I ran Komori and Heidelberg presses. We even had a old Heidelberg windmill letterpress. I loved running that thing. super fucking dangerous you could lose a finger! good times.
when I used to work at the shop late at night.... I would turn out all the lights except for the press lights.... turn up the music.... and smoke pot.... and blow the smoke into the inky, sticky rollers...... thinking if anyone came in they wouldnt be able to smell it..... cause it stuck to the rollers! Yeah baby!

I ran my finger through some rollers when I first started at that place. I had been up ALL night tweeking.... then went into work. bossman said I kept picking up shit and putting it right back down. haha. not good.
fingernail never did grow back right. got me a split right down the fingernail.... to remind me of what a dumbfuck I was..... haha. kids.

in bettween machinist jobs and the oil crash of the 80's ,i worked in a little print shop as a cutter,was great job just didnt pay enough,hated boy scout season,they would do all there logo on mylar,that shit would squezze out under press and sure as shit you would have a hair line border on one side and a 1/4 on other,wasted a lot of that shit,and never got it down,even with pressure low and barly holding it in same shit,was so bad boss would let me work over time just to keep from buying a updated scissor lmao,wound up doing 10 sheets at a time,lmao
