The One: 1976 Highland Thai x 1971 Kandahar Afghani. A balanced yet potent F1 landrace hybrid from 1984. Floral/perfume, fruity, incense, skunky/musky flavors on large, dense, resinous flowers. The euphoric Thai/sativa affect hits first with the body numbing afghani affect settling in after. Strong stemmed structure with excellent branching and stretch. Finishes in 8-9 weeks but can be allowed to mature until ~12 weeks for a more potent 'body high'. I like 10-11 weeks personally.
The One x Velvet Rush (TOVR): Velvet Rush is a similar cross as T.O. From the same era - Highland Blue Thai x Afghani #1 - but is extremely Thai dominant in every respect. Having been crossed with TO you end up with extremely vigorous, fast growing plants with the dense, resinous flowers of TO and an enhanced thai/sativa affect from the VR. I selected 4 males for this open pollination and the intent was two-fold:
1. By using the same males to hybridize all the females I create a solid genetic base to easily select plants that are similar to the respective mother for future backcrossing and isolating unique expressions.
2. Males were selected ranging from pure TO dominant, 50/50, and slightly VR dominant. This way we maintain the genetic diversity of the various landrace expressions to pursue within each individual cross and find amazing new hybrids.
Lotus: The F2 of TO x VR, the same 4 males open pollinated to 4 females also ranging from TO dominant to VR dominant. Expect a few different main phenotypes from strong stalky plants with minimal side branching, to ones with excellent side branching and 3x-4x stretch both with large spear like flowers and lastly plants with more side branching than vertical growth and more golf ball type flowers. Potent euphoric, flavors ranging from floral/perfume, tropical fruit, juicy fruit bubblegum and musky/sandalwood/incense. 9-12 weeks.
Gold Rush: Colombian Gold mom finishes in a surprising 56 days with very fast developing flowers and stretch as are her progeny. Extremely dense flowers that smell of creme brûlée, caramel, vanilla, skunk, fresh carrot juice and hints of tropical fruit are added in this cross. The unique flavors, potent high, resin production and vigor / finish time are the reasons I wanted to pursue this hybrid and is proving a very good choice, Gold Rush is amazing! 8-9 weeks.
Velvet Sunrise: Sunset Sherbet x TOVR - My 'kush' offering, I liked the SS cut because it reminds of the 'kush' from years ago. For SS dominant plants looks for stout broad leafed plants early on. 9-11 weeks.
Blues OG: (Orange Cookies x Face Off OG) x TOVR. The mom is a sister plant to one used in Marmalade but is purely OG dominant, a cross done out of curiousity and for those interested in hunting the elusive OG dominant plant with the structure of the TOVR (large spear-like flowers). 8-11 weeks.
Maya: The Acapulco Gold mom is a personal favorite of mine. A very old tightly held cut from south San Diego, 70's era. Lemon/lime earthy/musk flavors that comes out strong in the smoke/extracts - extremely potent. The plant grows like a vine and needs extreme support for the huge flowers that slowly develop and continue stretching several weeks into flower and finish in 12+ weeks. The cross to TOVR will give a stronger structure and some phenotypes will finish in around 10 weeks. For the most AG dominant plants look for the extremely branchy plants with increasingly thinner leaves as the plant matures and a distinct lemon/lime aroma - high percentage lean towards the Mom! 10-12 weeks.

Cosmic Lotus (Gonzo x TOVR) is incredibly resinous (like all the Gonzo sisters) but maybe a tad more than the rest, the Gonzo mom smells of hashy/earthy/musky sour lemons, is incredibly potent in both body and mind, night time only for me! Untopped/untrained she stretches excessively, the more training and topping done the less the stretch. 8-10 weeks.
Purple Lotus (Purple Gonzo x TOVR), the Purple Gonzo mom is the opposite end of the spectrum with a pure cerebral affect, no body, pleasant and motivating in small amounts but has no ceiling so be careful! Smells on the mom are a sweet, fermented berry jam. Purple Lotus plants are proving to be extremely Sativa dominant in structure. Thai influences are strong with a lot of musky/incense/haze aromas but look for the ones that gain a clear berry/fruit/funk smell as you enter week 4. Very potent hybrid. 9-11 weeks
Blue Lotus (Blue Gonzo x TOVR) The Blue Gonzo mom is a perfect hybrid with a soft subtle aroma that changes in cure from fresh blueberry muffins to a bluebery/grape dessert wine...overall my go to favorite, very potent in the long cure. Excellent overall structure and can stretch quite a bit but not excessive. Very strong sweet blueberry/fruit candy aromas are coming through along with some having a bit of musky/incense from the VR/thai. 9-11 weeks
SunShine (Gonzo 5 x TOVR) The Gonzo5 mom is a newer selection and is a very potent Thai/sativa genotype that can mess with someone's head if they're the paranoid type, if not she's an incredibly pleasing and insightful/spiritual sativa. The smell is the most unique landing somewhere between raisins/plums and that artificial raspberry or apple candy flavor, minus the sweet part. The progeny are proving to be high yielding powerhouses, incredible strong rotten pineapple/fruit aromas with musky/incense/haze undertones. 9-11 weeks.
DarkShine (Gonzo6 x TOVR) The Gonzo6 mom produces huge dense flowers with a smell that doesn't smell like anything other than "really strong weed" and she is a knockout for sure. Tight structure, minimal stretch, probably the most NL5 dominant, turns a very dark purple late in flower. The TOVR adds a stretchy phenotype to the progeny and the two are clear to tell apart. 9-11 weeks.
