4 weeks ago I started two ograskal fire og bx, one showed minor leaf deformation right away, then balanced out and is growing normal for now! The other started out normal and in week three it started shooting out four leaves instead of two! :o! Tri ------ something for three! Can someone help me with proper vocabulary please? Still newbie! ;) is this a good or bad trait? I've read that some are purposely breeding mutants like this! I love feedback, and all is appreciated :) thanks digdug!

Right on, thanks symbiote420, I believe that's what I've got going! I have experienced mutations that were similar in the past, with not so good results!! (Crazy plants!!) Very weird growth patterns!! This fireog is different from my others! Time will tell! Symbiote420 thank you, after looking at pictures of whirled phyllotaxy mutants, that's what's happened! I will take pictures after I transplant :) any information is appreciated! Thanks digdug!

It is always neat to see something out of the ordinary. Usually returns to opposite or alternate phyllotaxy after a few nodes and very rarely will you be able to perpetuate this trait via cloning. Are the side branches doing the same? if so, that IS something unusual.

Peace

I had a Raskal's White S1 that had two lower branches grow whorled phyllotaxy full term, the yield was nice ....I had to tie the branches down to open her up a bit. I'll post some pics when I find which SD card I have them on!

Update, 5weeks, after the 4 nodes, it went to two regular nodes(very close to one another) and back to 4 nodes! Now it looks like it wants to go back and forth! :) there is no side branching at all! Not yet! They both look healthy, with a little leaf crinkle! Ill take pictures in a few days! All is good in digdug land! Lol! Very interesting plant and I will keep posting! Thanks digdug!

ok so i guess i should update this since i popped 4 more beans. i got 3 more males and one still laggin' to show sex. one of the males is a mutant, one is very lvpk dom. and the one im keeping was very late to preflower and looks like her mommy. hopefully recessive, and brings the fire with him. i plan to dust the mom for a second backcross, along with other females (bamf og, Chemdog D, bluedream, pure kush, og#18, skywalker og, private reserve, and a few others.) still no females yet, ive got 5 more beans to pop.anybody with pictures of female fire og bx from og raskal, i want to see them. has anybody had any luck using males from the fire og bx? time will tell as i got females swelling with beans right now. ill keep this updated, thanks digdug!!

cool. How old where the seeds? we have a pack listed as 2005 i think. Shit I hope the pop.. And I will be using the males for sure. Hope they are good. Good luck. You should see if aa mod would move the thread to the strains and hybrids.

I'll be watching

whorling is trippy as hell! Last plant I had do it started at 3, then next node was 4, then next node was 5, and it stayed at 5 until it got culled out. But yeah - crazy shit!

Here's some pics of the Fire OG BX @ 8 weeks, grown by VenturaHwy on another site I frequent

Fire og bx

Fire og bx 2

Fire og bx 3

Lots of peeps are finding more AK leaners than Fire. Higher m to f rates reported, even Karma reported high male #s within the population ....some peeps have reported all males!

im on that site as well :) i like their vertical growing section. i finally got a female she was slow to start, slow veg, and slow to show sex. lets hope for a fire leaner. i got these seeds hoping for a fire leaning male for a second backcross. ive had the fire og mom for a couple of misguided runs.i almost lost her when i had a heart attack in febuary this year. i had the norcal fire og cut a couple of years ago but lost her, not before making a few crosses with her. the male i kept from the fire bx was slow to show sex, and the plant structure looks og, the leaf pattern looks very similar to the mom. then i can really go pheno hunting. im also looking forward to the bamf og mom to get dusted by this male. i love chuckin pollen. thanks digdug!!
