How the cutting is going. Still alive, tip its not rotting. Just observed stems from the fan leaves turning purple. I began to foliar feed with nutrients starting yesterday. Its been 7 days so far, no roots. Bummer

I suggest spraying the clone down with water to increase leaf surface humidity. Drop the light for a couple hours to allow it to respirate without the surface pressure tension caused by photosynthesis. ✌️

Cloning hack
Make sure you take your cutting at a node.
Cut just below the node for your cutting then trim it for your system.
Having just the branch takes twice as long as if you cut it at a node.
The node that u cut through diagonally wants to root.
Where a straight branch has to reprogram to make roots.

Make sure u use the clonex green not purple.
The green is for hydroponic systems.

I also have used hat holders to clone some clones and rapid rooter in a 3 in netpot

Yup. You can use any clear top, sealable container. I have used all sorts of stuff before. Good point about using what you have. I just find a $5 bag of 18 oz clear solo cups to work best to individually isolate each clone. It's best practices for mitigating cross contamination. ✌️

Thank you! Bless your knowledge 🤩🙏 I will be doint that alongside @I_GROW_SKUNK tip of the solo cups. Cant wait to get paid again. I begin work Nov 25th.

May it be the beggining of roots? Day 7

My tiny cherry tomatoe sprouted next to the clone. Clone has been taking its time, I will keep making observations for the next 6 days.

Its day 8 for the cutting

Just oppened the vents, I was gonna wait but its been 8 days with the vents closed, lets see what happenes. Trying to get a free plant atleast from my main plant, the other cutting was so small it rotted.

Lots of good advice your getting from Grow Weed Easy and THC Farmer loads of helpful tips. Patience is key to clones and knowing where and when to take good ones. Most folks who take clones take 3-4 or more at a time, you could still take more.

I need rockwool and clonex. I will be adding that to my shopping cart; cannot wait to get paid.

Can I take them from the top cannopy? Even if its been flipped to flowering? I was thinking that but now sure. I rather ask than mess up again by finding out on my own.

Yes you sure can take them from top. I was taught to take them from mid section to upper section of plant. I've taken them all over bottom to top.
