The fan leaves are whats providing the energy to the plant. Even if they don't look like they are getting light they do. Green light penetrates leaves so even leaves deeper in the canopy are beneficial. Recently another grower here has convinced me that removing a fair bit off the offshoots until flip is beneficial. So I would leave the fans unless you need better airflow and remove the little offshoots from the side branching. Now im removing them up to the growing tip but and i havent finished a grow like this yet so I would start at the bottom and leave it up to you how far up the plant to remove offshoots
the black bucket at the top of the system is a header tank/control unit... it’s got an autotop up and pump inside... pump pulls nutrient solution around the system constantly like aqua man said
You can link up a water cooler to the header tank, I personally haven’t as I was on a budget with this set up and the actual system wiped out a big percentage of that, I plan to invest in one for the next attempthow do you control water temp? water heater / cooler?
These are what I'm plucking offshoots from the secondary branching. Only up until flip. But like I say first time doing this but it sure keeps the air movement in the canopy nice. Will see how well it pays off.so don’t touch the big boy leaves just the little offshoots
Well I don’t fancy stripping it bare so might just pluck a couple from right down low and see what happens,
Those are some beautiful healthy rootsRoot system
Yeah can't ask for nicer bro. I forget just hydrogaurd or enzymes also?I thought you’d appreciate those
Ah ok just enzymes.. hydrogaurd is a type of bacteria that help prevent root infection. Used with enzymes I'm not sure I have ever seen a root infection. Also used to cure root rot as the species of bacteria bacillus amyloliquefaciens has been used for a fair bit of time also in agriculture for the same reason. It will kill pythium even in infected root tissueWhat’s hydroguard? All I used was canna aqua vega, rhizotonic and cannazym
Definitely something to get next time... nice to have just for a bit of added protection even if it’s not neededAh ok just enzymes.. hydrogaurd is a type of bacteria that help prevent root infection. Only thing is it does have an expiry and once opened is good for 6months I think.Definitely something to get next time... nice to have just for a bit of added protection even if it’s not needed

Because of the cost here I'm using raw microbes bit I have not tried them in RDWC yet.
