First grow and need advice

I committed a sin. Couldn't resist at least seeing the quality of my bud but couldn't bring myself to touch the big plant so I took a branch off the small. It's sticky, smells amazing when you break it up, and i know im biased and might be playing myself, but I do feel high. Didn't dry it jus simply because I am just testing the psychoactive effects not flavor or aroma. But honestly it doesn't taste too bad just hard to light. (Don't mind the paint on the table lol)

Waaaay too early, your pistils are pretty white and without even seeing your trichomes I bet they are clear. You got a loupe or magnifying camera?

They are milky and many of my pistils were orange just this shifty camera can't pick it up

It had a lot of orange pistils and some of the trichomes on the bud leaves were amber the rest were milky. That plus the leaves were dying so I decided to harvest

Way too soon my friend. If the leaves are dying sometimes is just normal, many strains during the final 2 weeks will start taking nutes from the leaves even if you feed them to really fatten the buds good, you skyped the fattening part, those buds are too small and will get even smaller after they lose half their water. It can still be a nice smoke and all, dont get me wrong, its just that you could have gotten way more production if you were more patient hehe.

Ok. I am trying to do it cheap but Ice mountain water from Walmart has a wonderful ph. I would not use potting soil. It’s too hot for the roots. Walmart has a soil called Mother Earth and it is awesome. Keep in mind I am a first time grower and just harvested my Gorilla Glue.lol
I am sharing what I have been told with you. Looking great and keep researching. Growing cannabis is a rabbit hole.lol

Okay just got the plants trimmed. Final weight of the big plant is 26 grams. Final weight of small pla t is 7 grams. Overall very happy how it turned out. Definitely passes smoke test!

They are a bit small but but bigger than I expected they would be, they look really good! Good colors, healthy ammount of trichomes, I bet its smelly. How does it taste?

They taste okay right now but I just trimmed them and put them in a jar to cure so hopefully they'll taste somewhat better in a few weeks!

So after seeing the results of my plants and helping me trim them, my buddy wants to grow a plant or two. He has a couple random seeds but he can never get them to germinate. I told him to bring them over and I'll grow them until he buys himself a light so he don't have to start out the way I did. Anyways, any germ tips?

LOL, I think we’re all take off the odd bud off when we need to. It’s shame you harvested too early as your buds would’ve been bigger & it would of allowed the turpentines to develop & give you a nicer taste.
That last few weeks really makes a big difference

Never mind at least you got something to smoke and it’s not from some dealer. it’s your own which should be proud of I would be

It’s all a learning curve anyway. I’m pretty sure I made mistakes along the way that would’ve made my blood taste nicer

As said bud be proud it’s your first grow & you grew it

Yeah I seen leaves dying an panicked lol. Still ended up with a Lil over an ounce. Smoked good too lol. When I get out I know what I'm going to do differently starting with a stronger light and using nutrients next time
