First grow ever and went hydro in my sleeping quarters

Hey y'all! This is my first grow ever and has been quite the experience! Initially I was gonna just do soil, but than I remembered my teenager yrs and how hydro was always the hype back then. Highly debated subject I think? I dunno, went hydro in the end, quicker and supposed bigger yields.

My setup, which took way longer than it should have(2 months,) include the following: 5x5 aci, 4 13gal site PaH customized fallponics, 7gal dwc, mammoth mint 8 led, 6" inline charcoal exhaust, 4 6" oscillating fans, t-7 humidifier, the pro69+ controller, bluelab ppm and ph meters, and a 55gal drum fed by an ispring RO system.

In the bucket I have a pine auto that sprouted 11/28/2024. I fimmed it 12/22, bad practice I assume. Till this date, it was in gorilla seedling/clone tent and had suffered from crown rot. By Jan 8, it stretched in the small tent :(
Snapped a major branch on the 17th, finally had the main tent ready and went into that on 1/19. Here it is currently

In the rdwc, I have 4 photo white widows. They sprouted on 1/13-16 and put into the system the 20th. They are supposed to be lengthy ladies so flipped em on 2/9.

I think I'm doing ok for a first ever grow? Thanks for taking a look. Open to any questions or suggestions!

The timing may be off to still have that auto in there, just hoping it will work as it's getting just weeks from getting chopped!

Doing awesome for a first grow especially hydro so well done mate never grown autos but from what I hear yield will be diminished on a 12/12 cycle but other than that ya killing it

Thanks! The auto has got some really nice sites going, so gonna try to keep it as long as possible b4 it hinders the others. My thought train was to use the auto as a training plant as it was a free from purchasing the photos. Any particular strains u like? Any suggested sites u like to buy seeds from? I went w seedsupreme, dunno if that's a reputable source.

Mate I’m in Australia hard as shit to get good seeds here customs have taken my last 4 overseas orders so when I can get something decent I just clone it so I can keep it sux but it is what it is I’m a gassy strain lover so anything chem or Og kush like and I’m in not a big fan of the cake and candy strains they smell good don’t get me wrong but they don’t hit me right I like that fuel funk with my smoko

Yea Roos will fk your shit up not as bad as possums though they climb up n down em tearing em to shreds and no never boxed a kangaroo they tough buggers my young bloke tried once lost badly well he didn’t really try just ran out of food at a wildlife park so the roo kicked the shit out of him

Initially thought it was a cal deficiency, but maybe a mag deficiency? I dunno. Maybe cuz of the stretch after flip they just need more of everything, especially cal/mag? They were flipped on the 9th, some signs of it b4 then even. Did a 90% water change on the 10th and don't wanna do that again anytime soon as that's like 48gal?

Pretty much i check ph and ppm daily, and keep the dwc around 500 ppm 5.8 ph, and the flipped rdwc around 350 ppm 5.8 ph

I think I may have left out a key point on that nute mix. So I premix all those into a gal of RO, mind u there are 2 different mixes. I than use those mixtures and add em to the system till I get the desired amount of ppm for the plant/s for their current stage of growth. There's the "veg" mix, and the "bloom" mix. After the veg state, I have to add both in to the system in different ratios for the plants current stage of maturity. It's a fucked up system and will be looking into a different, more simplistic way of adding nutes. It was a recipe used for 5gal dwc, which I've been trying to convert to my current needs, not an ideal situation lol.
So basically it's a premix of nutes that I add in the system till I get the desired ppm.

Have I mentioned I'm a first time grower? In my 2nd floor bedroom duplex? Having a 55gal drum in said place was a bit scary initially. I mean, what if i fuck up and end up raining massive amounts of water down upon my lovely neighbors dwelling?! lol I have been told multiple times I shouldn't do such, but I also got just as many ppl or more telling me to go for it! lol I think I'm doing ok, but still need a lot of help. I appreciate any and all suggestions, especially if it's about something I am doing wrong.

Help a newb out! I wanna hear from u all! I know nothing about this, especially just husbandry, trimming, lst, fimming/topping, and drying/curing. Thank you good ppl in advance!!

ok, now I understand. You are just making a concentrate to add to your reservoir, rather than putting in res one by one.

That seems kind of ok, but with the GH feed chart that I use, you can tweak your res directly by adding more or less of whatever.

Love the bud porn u shared!! Yeah, I've come to the conclusion I should ditch what I'm doing nute wise after this grow. I don't think it's terrible, just not ideal for a 48-50gal rdwc and more so for a 5gal dwc. Did I mention those pics made me drool a bit? Very nice!

In that last pic, I am super confused on how ur set up is. Seems like there is no lid and just hydroton floating around a net pot? I must b missing something lol
