I think there’s some confusion. I noticed it with the “dude stop watering post.” I’ve talked the whole time about how I overwatered. I said how the living soil was perfectly evenly moist now but the happy frog was dried. They hadn’t been watered in 6 days and there was no plan to water them today. I found the happy frog to be completely dry, literally made a circle in the “hay” and slowly watered, with wetting agent, 3 ounces of water center out to do the best I could to wet it because it needed it.for these seedling, i assume that you only have one of the lights on and hopefully thats the bottom light? the top one is not on? also you can slightly raise that mini light so it is sitting at 25" away.
Show me a picture of this with that setting. Also, try to give these guys like 1/4 cup of water every time they seem drying up.
No, I am scared to death of water. I’m still buying it and don’t need to be (the soil).ya, i thought you said you overwaterd again. i was like nooooo lol!
Thank you. It needed it. I didn’t give it a full 5%. Just half. It’s “feed the soil,” soil feeds plant. I won’t be doing liquid nutes etc. I don’t want them to “drink” it. This was one of the reasons for the soil. No desire to be a chemist. Don’t care if that’s what it takes. I wouldn’t have done it is all. There is a caveat as these are in pots too small, I may have to half way through but it’s for the soil, not the plant and a completely different product. The top roots feed off the living matter and the bottom roots drink when they want. Again, this does not mean water and go. There are several products you keep adding as a top dressing. At the end you compost everything back in, add the recharge, use it again. Over and over and over, each time getting better. Although, I don’t know what happens over time as the worms reproduce. I’m sure eventually they’d take it over. lol. You’re going to flip when you see the cover crop on the 30’s. Haha. I love it!! It was too much to bite off before I knew how to eat but as I said last night, here I am. I guess it is best to learn this way.the volume of watering depends on the amount of roots you have. Current beging stage of veggatiation the plant is still working on roots while growing. This is why we water in specific methods to build that root zone and train the plant so it grows with most yield.
About 2 hours since 9oz of water. The light where and power you told me seems perfect, right? They seem happy? They look it to me.yesterday you posted few pictures, it was #17 post and they looked allots more droopy. However, they look alot better now in these pictures. Keep the temps and humidity in check and always touch bottom of the fabric pots to see how wet or moist it is. You can also put your finger in the dirt but that only means that the top layer is dry and we want the roots to deep lower in the soil. So checking the bottom is better. I'm sure all plants will produce adequate amount.
Once they fully bounce back, i'll let you know of some training methods and get the balls rolling. for now be patience my friend.
I’m going to answer now even though you don’t send it until tomorrow…(???)are these photoperiods or autos?
Yep. I’m 18/6 now. For climate reasons I am going to want the 12 light to be overnight. Dark period during day when house is warmer. There is a supplemental heater in that room though. Just in case. Haven’t used it yet. Originally it was on in the tent for the germ and seedlings. For instance the lights go out now 10am-4pm. Probably push it back to be able to do 7a-7p dark.autois have different light cycle for flower then autos do. to flower for photoperiods I set the timer to 12/12 from 18/6 and for autos you want to keep minimum of 18 hours light on to get as much as possible.
Incorrect. It's based on the amount of media.the volume of watering depends on the amount of roots you have.
Thank you. I’m learning more and have readjusted based on what you’re all telling me. I will be reading these this evening. Coming back from road trip right now. If something I’m planning is wrong, I have to know that. Not “wrong” but you get what I’m saying. In think that’s why I’m trying to say as much about it as I can, so I get this feedback. I’m here solo flying blind. It has been help from folks here that’s gotten me this far. My plans are now 7’s, because I have them, and I can’t keep spending money making bad moves. Haha. I will use the 30’s outdoors so not a total waste. You are not watering properly @scfm69.
Also, 30 gallons is extreme for an indoor grow. 5 is more than enough. We use 3 gallon and have no issues.

The other day I had an idea and after testing, it works great. To know if you need to water, get yourself a soil meter. Poke or drill 4 holes in your pot 1/4 way up from the bottom spaced around the pot. Insert the meter probe into the hole and test for moisture. If its dry, then water SLOWLY...www.thcfarmer.com
Ok, I lied. I had to read it and a few after. I’m totally in. Haha. I feel kind of silly, but this is going to solve my guessing game. I can’t and am not speaking from experience beyond them being in it a week, but from the soil maker, and build a soil etc, I don’t want it “wet” but never dry. It works best in the moist range. The bottom of course will be more wet than the rest, as I’ve also learned just in the two waterings. I had to add more last night because it was too dry at top. If working correctly the feeder roots will feed off the living matter at the top and the bottom roots will drink when they want. You are not watering properly @scfm69.
