I decided to get back intro growing after a few year hiatus. Prior to that, I had grown quite a few times with various methods and had relatively good success. I definitely learned a lot throughout the first few and continue to learn things to this day. When I was growing previously I was utilizing vivosun tents and mars hydro lighting. Venting was usually either vivosun or spider farmer and clips fans etc were whatever I found that seems applicable/affordable. For this grow I changed it up a little bit still tried to stay within guidelines I used in previous grows.

Specs-
Tent: Zazzy 60x60x78in- this tent had relatively good reviews and I was confident with my ability to patch any holes so I went with it. On sale I got it for $89 from Amazon. I do have to say I prefer the quality of the Vivosun(reflecting siding is a lot smoother), but all in all seems to be a decent tent for the price.
Exhaust: Vivosun 6in 395cfm and going to install an additional booster I have if needed which is a generic brand called hon and guan says it’s 325cfm but doesn’t seem to be but should provide useful for the $19 invested in it
Light: Baylabs 720w 6 Bar ECO light. I know some say for a 5x5 to get upwards of 1000w but I’m use to growing in 2x2 and 3x3 with 100-150w. Light has good reviews and measurements are nearly identical to the specs listed.
Fans: Vivosun 6in Aero fans got a 2 pack on sale
Humidifier: Generic one I had on hand
Medium: Mixture of Fox Farms Happy Frog, Fox Farms Ocean Forest, and additional perlite approximately 30%.
Nutrients: Fox Farms Trio fed every other watering,Fox Farms cal mag fed 1x week
Water: For the humidifier I use RO water to prevent scaling, for watering I use PH adjusted tap water tested with General Hydroponics testing kit. Considering using RO for this as well as I do use cal mag and I get it for 25 cents a gallon at the store across the street. Any thoughts?
Strains:
Green Crack x3 by Samurai Squirrel Genetics
Special Queen #1
OG Kush
Special Kush #1
White Widow all by Royal Queen Seeds

Lighting schedule is 18/6 with lights off between 11am-5pm to help control heat. When it’s time for flowering I’ll be running 12/12 with lights off from 7am-7pm. Green Crack sprouted on 02/28. The others sprouted between 03/10-03/11

Been fun so far. Correcting issues as I see them arise. Intending on increasing the light intensity from 40-60% for vegetative growth over the next week or so as well.

Welcome! Off to a good start!👍

Just wanted to give an update. 3 weeks old. Did some LST work with them. The smaller plants are on day 11 from sprout.

Those are looking really good👍
Thank you! Doing my best to keep up with them between work/life/everything else. I can definitely say I missed it. Just ordered another tent/light to set up a veg tent. I see you have some experience. If my flower tent is 5x5 how big should my veg/starting tent be? If you don’t mind me asking.

Continuing on with the LST. Considered topping but think I’ll just stick to this for now. Maybe I’ll top one of the smaller plants to compare but otherwise think they’re still doing ok. Adjusted them and gave them a watering before lights out. Next water cycle will be feed time again.

Didn’t mess them up too bad apparently 😂 might do some defoliation later on. Considering topping some of the smaller plants mainly the white widow and special kush 1.

A little update. So the 2 in the back right(fastest growers of them all) I was holding out on feeding too much as ocean forest usually runs pretty hot for the first month or so. When checking them yesterday I noticed they were starting to yellow which leaves me to believe they have an N deficiency. I fed them and the smaller of the 3 which isn’t showing deficiencies yet but better safe than sorry. Checked everything else and seems fine overall. I did raise the lights a little as they have gained some height and wanted to accommodate for that. I’ll see where they stand in a few days and if new growth seems deficient as well I’ll look into another feeding or possibly another problem/solution scenario. The other 4 are doing well though. Did some more lst work with them while I was in the tent. The white widow plant is starting to explode with growth which is exciting. I’ll make sure to monitor them more closely so I can adjust the feed schedule and avoid any more deficiency issues. First pic is yesterday before the feeding second pic is a few moments ago.

Just a quick update as I await to see progress on the color. Do they look like they’re improving at all? I can’t tell. First video is last night second is just now. I also adjusted the light yet again. It seems kinda far but still getting good readings. Making me think this was a combination N deficiency and heat/light stress.

Between the adjustments I’m seeing the green color come back to the 2 plants that were yellowing. Doing another feed today and hopefully if I keep up with the nutrient needs in the future we won’t run into that issue again.

Welcome, it's like riding a bike ✌️

Just a quick update on things. Did some more lst work. Snapped a branch but doctored her up so hoping for the best. Also did some light defoliation and in the process accidentally cut a small top. Attempting to clone it, we’ll see how that goes lol did do another feeding. Only seeing one plant that still shows deficiency so going to do one last feeding on her and hopefully she’ll catch up. Only time will tell 🙃
