Yes sir, those trichomes will definitely amber up for you in cure. And if you are like me and can’t smoke ounces a month, you’ll have jars for months in cure and they will turn over time.

I have a gelato that has been curing for a long time over a year. It used to be a buzzy day smoke with balanced effects. Now, it gets me a little more narcotic effect. So I typically use all my longest cured buds for evening smoke. Fresher earlier harvested buds for day smoke.

Yeah, there's a lot to learn, and even more information to sort through. I can't tell from your pic how mature your trikes are. I use a little wifi microscope to get a close look. Something like this.

Looks like the one I have is no longer available, but here's one that looks like it and has the same specs. https://amzn.to/40F4mCv

Can you provide a link for this microscope you are referring to? That would be very helpful. In about 7-10 days, I will be switching my 1st ever grow of two plants (CBD Cream & Cheese) to flower and would like to be prepared.

I prefer a wireless microscope myself, the ones that clip to the phone don't personally work good on the model phone I have.

These are the 2 products I use for looking at trichomes.

BeaverLAB Darwin M1 Digital Microscope WiFi 1000X HD Mini Coin Microscope Camera Portable Handheld USB Microscope for Adults Kids, Compatible with iPhone Android iPad Computer https://a.co/d/0NOHLzB

AC Infinity Jewelers Loupe,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09HWXWF4S?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Thank you @Newty

I will have a look. The one I just brought isn't great quality, do you get images as good as @ArtfulCodger posted ??

Also I tagged you in an update for the post you helped me in a few weeks ago with calmag info. My bud is now ready to harvest. Any tips for drying and curing?

...it's getting there, few more days. the stalks still look translucent, and wait till you see a little brown. Do not water your plants for one or two days before harvest. The soil should be fairly dry, but not so dry that the plants wilt. Now's a good time to prepare for drying & curing.

Just an FYI, maybe the more experienced growers can chime in on this but,...

I recently read that if you give your "plant more light at the end of harvest", going from 12/12 to 18/6 you'll get more trichomes (photo). I also read that giving the plant "2 days of darkness before harvest" is beneficial (photo/auto). I've never tried this before but i hear it works, I wonder if anyone reading this thread has done this before?

I may give them a few days. If you need to wait for next weekend for the time to harvest, that wouldn’t hurt either. It is about the poo it you are at that I just look ahead on my RL schedule and pick the next day I have time. If it’s 3 days ok, 7 whatever.

Thank you both
I will check again on Wednesday and then if not satisfied, will harvest next weekend.
