my first grow just flipped to flower on the first and I think I got a male. Anyone agree or disagree
First grow
First grow 2
? This is the seed.

I’ve ran those same seeds. I kept a banana chem leaner the photo below is her now week 5 of flower. Very loud and frosty. If you got seeded keep them and run again but it doesn’t appear any of the pollen sacs opened in that photo.

Maybe a deficiency? I see a couple rust spots (calcium or other minerals) and the yellowing is a bit weird but could be potassium. Wait until someone else chimes in because im not sure, Im just speculating. Also people will ask you: light model, potency, distance from the plants, growing medium and what nutes how often.

Did that plant lose more leaves than the others? I mean leaves that died on their own and dried. If so, maybe she is hungry. Could still be a deficiency even if you didnt lose many leaves because that mostly happens when there's also nitrogen deficiency (the leaves being depleted of nutrients from bottom to top)

The ligh is ks 5000 and that plant was getting about 850 to 900 ppfd. Growing medium is coco. Food is grow dots. Use recharge and calmag every other feeding. About 10 ml. Calmag for 3 gallon. Rainpoint drip irrigation. Thanks for any help. Hopefully don't get to much shit about the grow dots just seemed less confusing for my first grow

I haven't a clue about grow dots but coco is a different animal than soil. The past couple years I've seen a trend with folks trying to grow in coco like it's soil and have nothing but issues. It's a shame as growing in coco is the easiest grow method I've ever tried.

That is a brilliant observation.
If a grower 2 days before that picture had cleaned up a bunch of lower yellow leaves the diagnosis is much easier.
It does not look different on the bottom from the plant next to it but all plants count have gotten cleaned up.
After I started cal-mag at 3ml per gallon rate when lights hit 75% of the highest expected I stopped seeing that presentation.
Like throwing a switch.

Minimal leaves lost during the whole grow do to yellowing or dieing. This plant in general I can remember only 1 leave being removed from yellowing. But I did do defoliation a few times but not within the last week.

What brand of coco if you dont mind me asking? I gotta check if it comes clean and buffered but if the rest are healthy I assume it is. Grow dots already have calmag, maybe reduce the dosage a little bit of liquid calmag so you dont saturate the coco. Are you keeping it always wet? Coco has to be always wet. Testing PH from runoff would be great to rule out something out of balance with the coco. You want 5,8ph veg and 6,2ph bloom for coco. As far as I was able to dig, grow dots work good with coco and are synthetic so that shouldnt be a problem.

Nevermind about keeping it wet I forgot you use an irrigation system so it should be always wet.

Coco bliss. I washed and buffed also. The irrigation is set to go off ever 12 hrs for 20 minutes. It usually uses around 3 gallon for what was 5 plants but got rid of the 1 male. I have been setting ph to 5.8. I will bump it up now since I flipped to flower a little bit ago. Didn't know about bumping it up in flower. Thanks for the info.

Sorry if I missed this earlier in the thread but how much runoff are you getting from the bottom of the pots? Hard to tell from the pics but first impression is maybe you're not moving enough water? Have you been collecting and testing it?

Looks hungry. Probably could use some Ca & Mg plus some N. I'd say it's time to begin a switch to flowering nutrient mix (more P & K), as well.

Once a week I will hand water till run off. Have had some high readings up to 1600 but will flush till 1000 to1100. Wish I could spend more time in the grow but gotta pay the bills. It's really been addicting and now that they're in flower I only get to see in the morning for a bit since the lights are out when I get home.
