You have a really have a nice crop add to the fact that you never grew a plant, your straight, you have the gift, and every time you do a grow u will learn a lot more. SNOLEPERD

I got a question regarding harvesting.

Is it ok cut and stack my bud laden branches in cardboard boxes?
They will only be in the boxes for 1-3 hours. The reason is I want to hang them to dry in my flowering room. But I want to remove the pots, SCROG screen and flood table before I start trimming fan leaves and hanging them up.
I have 4 reasons for wanting to dry in my flower room.
1: I have control of the tempiture and humidity in that room and good air movement.
2: my exhaust fan has a Oder control filter.
3: that room is probably the most secure area I have, lol!
4: I don’t really have any other option.

If it’s not ok to have them stacked up then I’m sure I can figure something out.

Cureing has 2 b done right, i cut a branch off trim ur bud close, hang upside down in the dark, after about inserted your strain you want the branches to bend and all most break, take it down, put in mason jars with a humidity chiip open the jar 4 or 5 times jars and burp, this takes that hay smell away, and rids your bud of clorafill, I know you r exited, but when u light one up and a friend wants to join u in partakeing, they will say wow where did u get ur weed? I tell you friend there is much satisfaction in growing your own, I light up, you know it's primo & you know u did it, a very good feeling friend!!!!

Girls are coming down in da morning!
Bitter sweet feeling for sure! Their my baby’s lol! When I started this grow my goal was simply to get to harvest without killing them! With all the help and solid advice that I’ve received from this forum I have surpassed my expectations and learned so much from this run and am excited for round 2!
Their not the biggest buds, but they sure are frosty and dense like rocks! Fadded pretty good and got some nice purple hues on some. The Chesail went dark purple in da past few days.
Some photos to follow!

One majah lesson I learned is not to give up on a plant. This chesial clone got so shocked that it lost every single leaf it had. This photo in the center is the only pic I have of it looking sad and was taken about 3 weeks after it lost all of its leaves. I didn’t give up on her and she turned into one of the prettiest plants in da room! And she spawned me a super healthy clone for round two!

U have a beautiful crop! But I know what umean about harvesting after all the work, worrying, sweat, & love, it hurts, i say a little prayer 2 the kush goddess, and dispatch the plant fast so it won't suffer, ok laugh but plants r living beings, with dna, chromosomes, who's 2 say they don't feel pain? They respond to ur love & touch why not pain? Anyway I'm allways sad when I chop. SNOLEPERD

THTS exactly how u do that, now bend a branch if it bend but does not snap all most but it won snap, you will know 5 to 10days depending on your strain, then you cure it, I use mason jars with a humidity chip, only at least twice a day you have to open the jar and burp out the gas that build up, works fine 4 me but I don't growlarge grows. You will figure it out, ur T the finish line, I'm Chopin tomorow, grey grow. SNOLEPERD

Right on, thanks bro.
I’m pretty nervice about this stage in da game. I know how important it is and don’t want to ruin all the hard work now!
I’ve researched and studied the dry/cure process a lot and I’m pretty sure I understand the science behind it and how it needs to be done and why. Still nervice though, haha.

Right! The Legacy OG smokes good too, very smooth and doesn’t take much to get right.

Finally finished trimming!!
Ended up with 11.5oz of clean dense buds, and 8.4oz of quality trim and lower quality buds.
The Legacy OG is everyone favorite, it is very potent with a piney aroma and smooth tasty smoke.
The chiesle smells amazing and has lots of color in the final buds, good flavor and smooth.
The Lilikoi smells like Lilikoi and has a nice fruity tast.
The Alpine had some nice flowers and didn’t tast bad and was stony but did not stand out much.
I far surpassed my expectations on this first attempt! All the encouragement and advice that I received from the members on this forum played a majah role in my sucsess! Thank you thcfarmer.com @logic for providing such an amazingly helpful resource for new growers like myself!
Aloha!

Right now my plants are 27 days old from seed. Photo was taken on day 25.
Received a pack of three Humboldt Legacy OG Fem seeds. Germinated using wet paper towel method. 36 hours later I unfolded paper towel and all three had germanated but one had a broken tap root. I planted all three in da red cups and two days later out they came.
After about a week I noticed the one with the broke tap root was growing much faster then the other two. Weird?
Around week two I noticed the roots were coming out of the bottoms of the red cups so I transplanted them up. They showed zero signs of shock from the transplant.
On day 18 all three were showing 5 nodes so I topped them. Started seeing new brotha about 3 days later.
On day 22 I opened up my super soil that I had been cooking for about 5 weeks. Filled my ten gallon pots and transplanted all three. The SS stunk like piss and I couldn't help but think somthing wasent right. After some research I realized my soil didn't get enough oxygen and went anaerobic! So with much regret I pulled my ladies back out of the 10 gallon pots and put them back into there original 2 gallon pots. I spread I tarp out and dumped and spread the SS to dry in the sun. I left it in the sun all day and racked it many times. Then threw it all in a large bin with a lid for 3 days when I opened the bin it smelled like normal soil!
On day 25 my lady's went back into the 10 gallon pots with the Super soil. I fed them for the first time with a mix of sea kelp and fermented fish fertilizer at 50% strength. Then covered top of soil with that Natx stuff in a effort to prevent fungus nats.
That pretty much catches us up.
