Hello everyone,
I’m starting my first hydroponic project and could use some guidance to make sure I’m on the right path. Here’s what I’m planning:
I’m starting my first hydroponic project and could use some guidance to make sure I’m on the right path. Here’s what I’m planning:
Setup Overview:
- Ebb&Flow Flood Table Size: 110x50cm.
- Plants: Two mother plants (Cherry Pie Fast and Northern Lights #5/#9) grown in 5-gallon DWC buckets.
- Nutrients: T.A. Tripart (soft water) with distilled water.
- Cloning: Planning to take nine cuttings per plant, root them in a DIY cloner, and then transfer them to 10x10x7.5cm Grodan cubes.
- Lighting: Switching to 12/12 as soon as the cuttings are established.
Questions:
- Plant Count & Space Efficiency: For a 110x50cm table, is this a suitable number of plants for an efficient yield? Am I using the space optimally?
- Reservoir Size & Budget: My current reservoir holds a maximum of 140 liters, but maintaining this volume weekly with fertilizers may stretch my budget. What reservoir size would you recommend for balancing cost and efficiency? (I can keep the water temperature at 18°C.)
