I recently moved inside as well. My grow light, and cfl splitters came in from amazon and the plants are absolutely loving their new home. They were starting to flower already outside, and since I've put them under the lights, there have been so much more white hairs popping out. I wish my yard wasn't literally infested with bugs, and the conditions here in so cal are really not even close to optimal for them.

I can't wait to get into flowering! I'm debating on getting 2 more CFL bulbs or 2 more flower specific LEDs... Can't decide yet. We're getting hammered by this El nino making it very difficult to be outdoors but it's helping me keep up my humidity. Just hit 48% and climbing!

Those hairs are music to my..... eyes? Anyways, was stoked that both of my first plants are fem, and they're responding to my lights very well. This is how I set up my little 'budget box' is what i like to call it. It's pretty micro grow. Not trying to take over your thread, but I think you're going to love love love your indoors with lights! As for the lights, just try to go as full spectrum as you can, I hear from a lot. My led is 3 blue, 9 red and its all in the 430-660nm and I have two cfls on top. Plants are digging it

Put a two inch or so thick layer of sandbox sand or aquarium gravel on top of your dirt in your pots covering every visible part of the dirt under your plant.
The fungus gnats lay eggs in your damp soil, if you do this and then have a fan blowing in your room, the top layer of sand/gravel will dry out quickly. The fungus gnats that are already in the soil will suffocate when they change from larvae into flys because they cant crawl out through the thick layer of sand. Even if the fungus gnats find your plant they wont be able to get to the dirt to lay their eggs.

If they breed in your drain holes at the bottom, a cut off piece of pantyhose stretched over the bottom will keep them out.

Try to see where they are coming from, usually super damp soil or something with excess water.
Normally you should have a tray under your pot to collect any run off from top watering.
Or if you water from the bottom only. pour water in tray for medium to soak up. but don't leave standing water.
You want you medium to dry out some before your next watering/feeding.
After you have your medium drying out some on top you can still water/feed some from top, just don't flood her.
You can lay a top dressing and/or use mulch. make sure your medium drains well. add more perlite, a lot of drainage holes.
even up the sides a couple inches. that will help her dry some.

The diatomacious earth plus some sticky fly ribbon seem to be doing pretty good at lowering the population. They are strictly localized to the grow box so I know they are from the soil. If they aren't gone soon I'll try the sand and gravel method.

4 of my pots sit in a large container for catch water however the other large pot doesnt, but I never really have too much water run through the holes. The bottom of my box is heavily painted with white gloss flex seal so its water proof.

I'm still watering the normal way the soils drains pretty well so the top dries out fairly fast and I can add more DT earth by the end of the day. We're only 21 days in so I got some time until flower....

Which leads me to a question... I'm not 100% sure that my plants are autos but... I need to know fairly soon as I will need to train to stay short if they are photos.

So I breed a bag seed that ended up making very nice sativa dominant green to a blueberry seed that I was told was fem and ended up being a male. I grew several of the bag seeds and I tried to put one back into veg after flower and it died almost immediately. All of those plants also went into flower at the exact same time ( roughly 3 month, not sure exactly). So based on that I kind of assumed it was auto. So would the breeding keep the auto trait or toss it? The blueberry seed was ordered and it was auto as well ( or at least that's what I was told)

So do I FIM scrog or leave them alone..... Im losing sleep over this

What's goin on dudes! So some things have changed... Got a big 8in exhaust fan, 2 more t5 2ft single tubes, I repotted so now all are in 3 gal, my temp is down to a constant 80F 40%h, my bugs are now gone, and all pretty much well.

But....... Two on my babies just showed their little white hairs which is great, but I'm still on 24hr light and I didn't think that was possible. I plan on switching to 12/12 as soon as one of my plants clears up. It's acting a little funny so I don't want to shock it to much in the light switch. I'll post some pics soon maybe that will help with a diagnosis. They all look slightly N def so I'm going to water with 5-1-1 fish shit this evening.

I just bought a Mars hydro 300 watt led (actual 149 watts) For $69.oo Free s/h on Ebay. Now it might not be the best out there. But for a 3x3 tent it rocks. good spectrum uv/ir also.
