first journal, first time organic, trainwreck (e32),fire og, and green crack (cush)
finally made it to cali and am now growing for a collective! couldnt be more stoked!
this is my first soil grow (besides the mothers i kept for my hydro garden previously), also this is my first attempt at going organic, and my first journal.
I'm using RO water unless otherwise mentioned.
I'm veging for 4 weeks under 400w mh for 24 hours a day
i bought clones from a place in Nor cal, in yuba. strains listed in title...
clones were 6 to 8 inches tall in rockwool, fully rooted, starting to show signs of nute diff/yellowing.
for my veg mix i used 2 parts ffof potting soil, 2 parts sunshine mix #4, and 3 parts perlite. i made about 7 to 8 gallons of soil mix and added only 2 tablespoons of mexican bat guano. (ive been told i should have used nearly 2 cups of the sunleaves brand mexican bat guano in about 10 gallons of soil mix).(comments welcome)
i watered with 6.4 ph RO water with b1, sea kelp and cal mag all at 1/2 strength, about an hour or 2 after placing clones in new veg mix in red 16oz party cups.(of course i poked holes in the bottom of the cups for drainage)
plants began to green up quite a bit for the next 3 days.
I then watered again on that 3rd day using 1/2 the strength of the previous mix (about 180 ppm) at 6.7ph
plants continued to grow and green up. looken good so far.
4 days later (yesterday) i watered with veg nutes. roots organics buddah grow, roots organics trinity, general organics cal mg and AN piranha. the mix was at 440 ppm and 4.7ph before adding AN ph up. after getting my ph to 6.5 the ppm had gone up to 650, i then added tap water to bring the ppm down to 600.
typically my temps have been in the mid 70's for most of the day, sometimes reaching 80 or even 82f in there closet, with no bad effects noticed. today, the day after feeding i noticed some yellowing starting to occur and foliage just appeared a bit droopy. when before they had been very perky and lush looking. I did notice some environmental factors that may have caused this, ie my temps were in the mid to high 60's most of the night till i changed a few things this morning to get back to mid 70's. (did this cause the the droopiness and possibly the reduction in greeness i notices? or was it the nutes? or one of the additives? i was advised today to not use cal mg with my RO water while using these nutes,as the have plenty of trace elements with in them, i will use that advice from here and see how it goes.)
i have pics from day 2 or 3 thru today that i will post. i will continue this journal till harvest. thanks for any advice! peace!
