did that largest one go into bud? the other thing you have to take into account is soil temperature , although they are in the sun if the soil temp is under 20c they will be very slow.
Ive been thinking about this a lot recently , how to make a grow as simple as possible ...and i think the problem is , to know how to do it in a simple way, you have to know about the complications . last year i had 2 grows side by side, both in fabric pots and both in batmix, 1 i had under a decent light, fed them A+B nutrients cal mag, PK, silica , big bud etc and the other (which started off as the 2 worst seedlings) i put in a pot and just fed a basic house plant food. they both turned out exactly the same in fact the ones fed less didnt suffer any tip burn like the other one did.

I think old Spaniard here is just using the wrong pots, seven or eight hours of direct sunlight won’t cut it, and neither will starting them in March outdoors! Other than that, everything‘s hunky-dory!😂

Good points, thanks for the input Carlos! Appreciate the advice mate and hopeful to hear you had a plant just as good with basic supplies! The bigger one seems to have the 1 bud on top and then a bit of action just underneath that one too but it looks more like hairs than a proper bud yet so waiting for some development on it. Plenty of trichomes though!

Haha. This is in fact encouraging! Few things to tweak and try next time around but not a million miles off! I can admit planting the first 1 in March outdoors with no equipment was a Hail Mary but think I just got excited and wanted to give it a shot haha. With more Sun (even though still not enough) and some loving tender care we will see if we can get a few more buds on these next couple.

Hey peoples! Would appreciate some advise on what to do with this one now.

As you can see by the pictures the trichomes are cloudy with a few ambers starting to appear now too which suggests harvest time is upon me (I think). The buds however don’t look to mature.

What shall I do here?

Cheers!

Theres not much you can do about it now it’s to late

Ignore the trichs on the leaves they turn early it’s the buds you want to inspect

The size indicates over watering

Welcome to the funny farm 🤣

So would you cut it down now or leave it longer?

Depends on how you like your high

I like a bit of amber as I prefer a couch lock high

Some prefer a more energetic high & will harvest when milky as your is milky it’s up to you

Thankyou mate 👍 wasn’t sure if it had anything smokeable on it as looks more like leaves than buds. I know it’s far from an ideal yield, but do you reckon if I cut it down in next few days and leave it to dry out there will be anything to smoke or are the buds too underdeveloped to get anything from?

Well in truth you won’t get much due to the size but buds aren’t underdeveloped there’s simply not much on it

They will be smokeable

Next time try to only water when there dry
If your using a cheep moisture meter they aren’t accurate, especially if the soil is loose.

Try to get used to the weight of a dry pot.
One other way is to weight it before you water allbeit getting used to the weight of a dry pot vs a wet one is the easiest especially when your dealing with a large plant

When there overwatered they don’t grow well as the roots can’t breathe

Good luck & don’t be discouraged it’s your first time not many get it right on there first grow its like riding a bike when you first try you fall off however once you learn its a breeze

I’ve left this one a bit longer and does seem to have got slightly more dense. I haven’t chopped yet as hoping for the buds to mature more. I am keeping my eye on the trichomes and still seem cloudy with only a few ambers so think it’s ok in there for a bit longer.

There are some tiny buds with white pistils towards the bottom of the plant, should I cut off any of the leaves to get more light to them or am I best leaving the leaves on?

The bugs were enjoying it 😠, but I have been spraying some pesticide on it since I’ve been back. Am I best just to cut it down at this point, dry it out and see if there’s anything to smoke? Or does Thrips mean it’s a goner? Another learning curve for me.

My newer plant on the other hand seems to be doing ok! I’ll attach a pic of the new one too 👍

Got thrips on that one also. Make sure you wash the shit out of that gram of bud you get off it.
