New here, thanks for letting me join. I'm 9 weeks after flipping to 12/12 on this Orange Kush strain. This is my first grow and I'm a little confused. Buds look done but trichomes on buds all still clear? Trichomes on sugar leaves all Amber.

Is she ready?

Thank you for the reply. So when it comes to harvesting I'm assuming the trichomes are a better indicator than the pistils?

Absolutely. Judge by the trichomes on the buds, not the leaves. I personally like a mix of cloudy and some amber on mine.

Early on, I always wondered why my grows didn't smell great and my buds weren't really dense when dried. I always blamed curing when in fact I was curing properly the whole time. The buds just werent ripe even though they 'looked' awesome. That was one of my biggest DUH moments. haha

that's true, not alot of ppl get to this position without problems. i would get a jeweler loop or a microscope

Thank you, appreciate it. I've actually got two of them. I'm really enjoying this hobby so far, still a lot to learn though.

Looks pretty done to me. Some plants will never develop amber trichomes on the buds.

Buds are usually done for me 1-2 weeks after they "look done." My trigger is a few amber trichs on calyxes.

Couple days later, all the leaves are drooping and look like they're dying. Trichomes all still look mostly clear on buds but I'm wondering if they're just appearing that way due to the glare from the light on my loupe. This week is 10 weeks since switching to 12/12
