I have finally been officially licensed by the state of Maine as a legal caregiver for up to 500 sq ft of mature canopy and 1,000 sq ft of immature canopy. I'm currently in the process of getting approved by the town and we'll be all set to sell directly to dispensaries and medical patients. Everything I'm doing is still 100% legal according to what the state of Maine allows. I'm just getting ready for the future. We should have the license for the town approved by the end of August the latest.

I decided to use five different strains for this run. I'l be running 16 plants total. I'l be growing three of each strain and have a wildcard be #16.

Strains
M.A.C., clone from grow op
Colombian Miracle, phenohunted
pack of seeds
Trop Cherry, clone from @ImpulsiveGrower
The Purple One, phenohunted
pack of seeds
Trainwreck, clone from Maine Clone Company

Cut the clones June 13th, using Root Riot cubes and Clonex rooting gel with a dome.
First run for the business

Six were ready to go yesterday
Durban Poison (new mother plant), M.A.C., then four The Purple One. (left to right)
They're in 0.5 gal containers filled with Coast of Maine Seed Starter mix.
First run for the business 2

Currently have these plants in my 4×3 AC Infinity tent under a HLG 100 V2, about 200 PPFD.

That trop cherry is going to do really good for you out there. Once you see the quality of a breeder cut I’m sure we will do more business in the future. Congratulations on getting your own legal grow up and running out there! 👌

We're about a month into this grow. Everything is doing pretty well up to this point. I would say we're into the fourth week of Veg now. The plants are still in their 0.5 gal pots and the PPFD is around 200-300. They've all been topped. I cut them down to the fourth node after they grew 6-7 nodes.

I got a 8×4 AC Infinity tent setup. Deciding on whether or not to pull the trigger on an autowatering system for them or just transplant up to 3 gal bags and hand water. They're still in the 4×3 tent.

Transplanted up into 3 gal plastic containers. The issue with the 3 gal Rain Science bags is the roots wrap themselves around the bag and are quite difficult to transplant up. We'll see how the plastic containers work. I used a 50/50 mix of Coast of Maine Stonington Blend and Sunshine Advanced Growers Mix #4. I sprinkled some Mykos in the bottom of the hole and around the top and sides of the root ball the best I could to get contact with the roots. Watered them after transplant with a solution of Azos @ 1 tbsp/2 gal, pH of 6.3

From left to right is 4 of The Purple One plants, 3 MAC, 3 Trainwreck, 3 Colombian Miracle, 3 Trop Cherry

End of week 7 of veg. Transplanted these plants up to 5 gal Smartpots and moved them into my AC Infinity 5×10 tent. Set up four HLG 350Rs in there as well as four AC Infinity Oscillating fans. I've moved the dehumidifiers out of the tents and opened more vents. They're just running in the basement now. The environment is 80-85°F 60-70% RH

Used Mykos when I transplanted and fed them with the microbe cocktail afterwards.
Azos @ 1 tbsp/2.5 gal
Mikrobs @ 1 tsp/gal
5-2 Wonder Blend @ 0.25 tsp/gal

How hard is it to get licensed and how much it run you to startup?

I'd love to grow for a business. I just love growing plants. Would love to do it here in Virginia.

Congrats bro!

Thanks man, up here in Maine it's not difficult to get a license, it's just a tedious process and can only be done in certain areas of the state.

The license fee for the state is $1500 and the town we live in is another $1000 for the license I have, if my memory serves me correctly.

That's cheap. Here in Virginia it's 10K for application fee and 60K for permit. The Republican Gov Youngkin put a hold on recreational sales so people are homegrowing or going to Maryland to buy at a dispensary

Just realizing I didn't update this diary this past weekend. These plants are growing really well so far. They handled the major defoliation well, another crop that has handled this exceptionally well. Timely stress seems to push growth more. Setup the first trellis after the first week of stretch.

And this is just a pic I took of a Trop Cherry flower I got from @ImpulsiveGrower, Day 12 of flower and this is the first day I noticed the color change on these flowers, crazy early. Excited to see how this strain turns out!
