We’re lucky enough to live with my mother in law, she was alone in this big ass 3,000 sq foot five bedroom house she designed and her dad built. It’s actually in a great spot as you’ve seen from the pics.

It is straight out the nineties though. Oak cabinets. Pink carpet in the bathroom. Junipers along the ENTIRE FRONT OF HOUSE AND PROPERTY.

Whenever it rains or even gets cold enough for condensation you see that they’re absolutely covered with spider webs. We have spiders outside. We have spiders inside. About three years ago we started getting carpet spiders, these little baby wolf spiders that blend in with the carpet. I blame the junipers lol.

Kind of makes you think twice about walking around barefoot Indoors, doesn’t it? Some of those Wolfies you could probably Roll an ankle on!

Peppermint essential oil will make the spiders exit your house. Just be mindful of cats or dogs because it is strong. I place a cotton ball with it on the windowsills in the basement for my mom. Her TV area is down there and she hates them. Put new ones out each year. I've also run a paper towel along the windowsills with the oil on it.

Cbrians:
Make sure you're adding water to your compost too. Glad you have more dookie headed your way. Rabbit dookie can be used immediately. It isn't considered hot.

I read that a lot of herbs scare away spiders, mint being one of them. I wanna tear out the junipers and replace them with various year round herbs

Also read that about the rabbit dookie, but she brings it mixed with the bedding and all the pee lmao. Figured it’s better to have the variety anyways

Or...hear me out...get a goat for the kids and wife. Now you have a permanent fertilizer at the homestead. Just trying to help out.

Oh also, I’m watering the three piles I’m moved close enough daily. They’re right behind my weed and cucumbers so i don’t forget

The horse poop on the other side I can’t reach isn’t being watered, but after two weeks of california weather it was still fairly moist when I scooped some yesterday.

I’ve hear that piles can combust, and I’m fighting all my pyro instincts to let it happen

That damn thing doesn't even look real. First time I saw one, I said ain't no damn way that is legit. Frankenstein goat fo sho.

Chickens are a lot of work (dirty work), but are good sources of hot manure.

Emus aren't known for being friendly. Nothing like having a 7' evil bird charging you. Lmmfao

Alpacas have an incredible NPK score, but that's a lot of animals just for some turds.

Lmmfao. Watering isn't just to prevent from combustion, but is important part of the composting process unless you live somewhere like me where humidity is at 96 or 97% in the am and rain often. Just sprayed every single one of my plants today with whey to try and prevent a fuckton of disease that I'm sure is headed my way with this weather and season change happening within the next few months.

UGH I WANT ONE SO BAD.

Emus are dinosaur birds. And I’m 6’4 so I’ll take my chances I just like the novelty of it

Her idea is to get a coop and a run so they’re contained, which isn’t the worst idea.

Your browser is not able to display this video.

I can't feed something daily that attempts to threaten my life. Give me snakes and spiders before this.

When I was little, I was at the zoo with my family. One stuck his head over a railing and bit my Dad. He poured his drink on its head. Lmmfao. You won't be cuddling the thing that's for sure. You should just get a cassowary. Maybe able to cuddle it.

Don't think so, Chuck. My man loves living on the edge from his compost to his animal selections.

I knew some people with emu’s. If you didn’t close the sliding glass door behind you, they would walk right into the house! Two of them! They seems mellow enough! What I don’t like is seeing one of them in a fenced in two or 3 acres! Got to be lonely! When it comes to pets of any kind, I’m a believer in two! Two dogs, two cats, two kids! Otherwise they go psycho!

Well I got shut down on the emu, the goats, and the ostrich..

Might have to be one of those ‘ask forgiveness rather than permission’ situations
