First time grow in zone 9b, lets learn from my mistakes

I'm no scientist but I've made a lot of tincture and I've seen a 190 alcohol finish a tincture in an hour. Really after 20 minutes the vast majority of cannabinoids have been removed, literally melted into suspension of the alcohol so yes, the stronger the alcohol the quicker it removes the molecules we want. At the same time a 40% alcohol will remove most of the cannabinoids but it takes a lot longer and you also strip a lot more of the molecules you don't want like waxes and chlorophyll.

I'm in CA, the state of fucking delusions and those MF'ers, through stupid regulations have tripped the cost of getting 190 proof alcohol. With the stroke of a fucking pen it now costs about $200 a gallon. WTF? I gotta set up a still, this is horseshit. Don't get me started

Planning to do a 24 hour soak to germinate then put them right in 7 gallon fabric pots.

I'd soak them for 16 hours, and do the paper towel method, then put them in soil.
Ps : becareful using nutes on young plants. Cuttings can't handle it yet.

I just cut my auto down today. Someone said it was growing testes. Instead of collecting seeds, I decided to just cull it. Not sure I want seeds from a feminized plant that switched up. Couldn't find an answer regarding that online either.

When it comes to old ass seeds you should ask a few of the OGs here about the scuff/scarification method. I remember reading a discussion go this recently so I went and found it. Captspauling and Mikedin have resurrected old seeds, so maybe ask them about it for future old seed runs, they seem to know what they are talking about.

Yeah, with old seeds, there is an old Jorge Cervantes trick, use a

also, scuff the seeds, I use an old matchbox with a piece of low grit sandpaper. Toss them in shake them a bit to scuff that outer membrane of the seed. Then A 30% peroxide float.

When I did the 14 year old seeds I did scarification (same method as you roll tape shake) then 12 hour soak in 20:1 water /peroxide

Then straight to the soil, watered in with clonex clone and seedling solution, got 2/3 to pop, gunna do some more oldies soon I’ll be doing the same method

I also got the seeds between my fingers took the sandpaper and sanded down the split ridge down the seed so it had less resistance to pop
