first time grower needs some good advice

my plant seems to be growing great. but im wondering if i should cut the small leaves on the bottom of main stem. will cutting them help or hinder growth.

pulling those little pieces off should push your growth upward. Banzai that biiatch. Hope that helps..keep on keepin on

Do you mean just trimming everything from like the bottom 8" of your plant? Many will do that, but not if your plant is very young.

If you're only a couple of weeks into veg, and you're a first time grower, I wouldn't cut anything. Right now the plant needs all its leaves to keep up with the forced 24 hour growing you're making it do. Those leaves are creating & storing sugars in the fan leaves right now that they will access when it comes to flower.

After you're a week in to flower, if you want to trim the bottom of your plants, do it then, and root the cuttings. For now, I would suggest you just let them do their thing and not cause any undo stress in your first grow.
