First time grower wondering if plant is doing okay
First time grower wondering if plant is doing okay 2

These were both taken about 3 weeks after germ (23 days). Just wondering if she's under developed. Currently using fox farm 4-4-4 every other feeding (about 1L per watering), lights are hanging at about 18" from the canopy. Temp and humidity have been solid the entire grow. Any advice or reassurance would be appreciated.

Looks okay to me. Assuming your plant is an auto, just be careful on the amount you feed it (autos need less nutes among their laundry list of needs) and make sure not to overwater. Letting the soil dry out a bit between waterings will help you much more than attempting to cultivate in a swamp, which is a common mistake for new growers (*please note that your medium looks fine but too many people miss this so I thought I would share*). But looks like you're doing good so far in my opinion! Happy growing ✌️

I don't know what size that pot is, but she's going to be pretty small if she's flowering that much at day 23. But IDK, maybe that's what you're going for.

I would look at either upping your light intensity or lowering the light. My 2¢,good luck buddy! My last autos started flowering small as well, but ended up with 3oz per plant ✌️

which neut is that, that is 4-4-4 from fox farms? Is it the grow or grow big?

Closest thing to that I know of is the grow big (not the 3 part trio that one is 6-4-4) I think they also make a grow version that is 2-1-6 i can’t even find the 2nd one online anymore, I have them both at home but those are both the grow neuts, if you’re using the 3 part the micro is 5-0-1 and the bloom is 0-5-4 I believe

The grow big hydroponic version is 3-2-6

I’d assume you’re talking about the 3 part 6-4-4

Could you take a quick pic of your neut bottles just so I know we’re in the same page nutrient wise

now that you’re in flower what neuts are you using?

what tent size ?
what current light (brand, model) ?

How much % is the light actually , and what distance from plant top ?
Using the vivosun s1000 for my light, in a 3x3 tent. Lights came with a full guide on spectrum and intensity but tbh most of that is going over my head right now lol. I've been trying to keep the lights at 18" above the bulk of the canopy which is about 14" from the top cola. Thinking I'm going to upgrade to a mars hydro for the next grow, I want to put 2 more plants in there to maximize my space.

actually it was the 6-4-4 lol, just switched to buds and blooms (2-8-4) on my last feeding when I started seeing those flowers pop up

She's awful small to me starting to flower. What lighting schedule do you have her on? I think that is the problem. Won't be much on such tiny baby.

Thats a 100W light, you better keep it close yes. 16-18" sounds about right unless you start seeing tips from the top leaves starting to crisp. Probably you could get them closer but they get very hot and I dont know if its a good idea. You could even slowly try to keep it at 12" if it doesnt start burning the leaves.
Well considering that your highest cola is at 14" from the light maybe its better to leave it that way.

s1000 100W scale small to flower a full 3x3 canopy

depending LED brands you'll find 300W to 500W models or so that's will fit and scale for a 3x3

usually larger panel with more watt will offer a more even light coverage and dispersion near tent borders but you may not use them 100% close to the plant.

Here a few of the most used and rather cheap led brands you can have a look and compare from their official web sites:

spiderfarmer, viparspectra, hlg, vivosun, ac infinity, phlizon, mars hydro, lumatek.

( i would avoid mars hydro older models, it's not uncommon some people got some electrical issues with them, also i think most viparspectra new models are not fully dimmable but with step.)

It's an auto on an 18-6. I'm thinking repotting stressed it into flower early. Again first time grow so I'm just going to ride it out and learn what I can from the experience.

Thanks, I've never heard about those issues with marshydro before. I'll have to look into it a little further, I've just had them recommended to me by a few different sources.

i have seen a few time some melted connectors/wire and some panel whose half the leds no longer work properly.

I run the older model mars hydro FC-E8000 bought it… early 2022 I believe? Maybe late 21’? Been running it nonstop since then without issue

The issue with them was the light connectors they have those push in 1/4 turn connectors. People were haphazardly connecting them quick just letting them lay down and putting stress on the connector, plus moving the light around and messing with the wires constantly, once the connector got loose it’d short and burn the connector I don’t move my light it stays at the ceiling and I adjust by power, but I still do a weekly check over of connections (same with all my lights) check they aren’t warm, nothing looks deformed like it was melted etc

Also keep a Wi-Fi smoke detector in the tent that alerts my phone as well as a Wi-Fi camera so i can check all night from work (lights turn on at 3am / off 3pm before the heat of the day gets in the house lol

Yeah those panels, the FC and FC-E models had issues with it as well, I’ll grab a pic of one of the connectors when I go home
