Hi everyone im doing my first ever grow in 2x4 tent using a 200w LED light and coco/perlite as a medium. I am using Green Planet’ dual fuel + root builder for nutes. I am following the nutrient guide and keeping a good watering schedule with PH 5.8 and 20-30% runoff.
The lights are currently running at 60% strength. RH - 65%, Temp 25C
These 3 clones had a pretty rough start as I had to reveg them (they were cropped during early flower, I didn’t have more options it wasn’t my first choice haha). This is the third week of proper veg (reveg took 4 weeks) but im not sure if there is something wrong with my plants. Just have a few questions I was hoping I could get help with :)
The leaves seem to have some spots or decoloration and some are clawing (specially the 3 bladed leaves). Is this normal or caused by the reveg of the clones? Or is it a deficiency?
Also wondering If I should top them or the LST is enough? They didn’t grow like regular seeds with a main stem and nodes

The clawing is from too much nitrogen. The discoloration looks like a very subtle start of a magnesium deficiency.

Would help if you included what medium you are growing in, room temperature and humidity.

You can try bumping your ph up to 6 to allow that calcium and magnesium to be better accessed.

What coco are you using? How often are you watering? Once roots are established, coco likes to be watered everyday

Thanks for replying, im using a 70/30 cococoir with perlite mix with 20% worm castings. Ive been watering twice a day, sometimes 3 depending on how the pot dries

The tips bending downwards could be N toxicity yes, but it could also be poor watering. Like overwatering them or underwatering them and not realizing for a day can leave you with permanent tips pointing downwards after the leaves recover. But it could also be N toxicity, specially for the ones that are more dark green and slightly deformed.

seem stretchy, i suggest having the light closer or higher intensity or a mix of both.

also did you plan on transplanting to bigger pots before flowering ? (those pots seem small to sustain lot of buds growth at time)

This! Forgot to mention it, being 200W you need to have them fairly close for them to be negatively affected. Dont you have a PPFD chart for your panel? If you could post it here it would be great.
Also I forgot to mention yes, you can still top them, for every branch you top you will still have 2 more growing. Many people top several times, I only top once but I know about that technique so yes, you can top them as long as you keep that in mind. They will need a NET to support the weight most likely if you top them though.

Watching at them and considering how it would evolve, I think I wouldnt top them. But thats just what I would do.

definitely ☝️
pots are way too small- look at your roots there. full

In my honest opinion I would repot into 3 gal with 100% coco mix from canna coco or mother earth coco.

You are watering too much for those size of plants and containers. Lower down to 1x per day. Watering at 3x frequency doesn't really need to be done until they are large plants in full flower drinking a bunch and in like 2 gal pots. And there are studies saying watering 1x per day is the best for yields the entire cycle as long as root zone is established. Best bet would be a 3gal watering 1x per day once roots are established for your setup

The earth worm castings are where your excess nitrogen is coming from if you are feeding with nutrients. What nutrients or nutrient line are you feeding them?

I agree with the others that your light is too far away. Try 18" away from tops of plants. Not sure how powerful your 200W is but might be able to get to 12"

Also your temperature and relative humidity is important in all cycles. We want to see 75-79f degrees and try for 60% humidity for Vegetative stage.

I would do as mentioned and reevaluate what nutrients are being used, room temps, ventilation and exhausting, watering, and your coco mix.

If you really need that perlite, mother earth coco make a 70/30 mix. Perlite promotes faster drainage is all. Coco is perfectly fine being 90-100% saturated

Let us know

In coco, pot size isn't as big of an issue as soil. As long as the EC and PPM are being kept consistent in the root zone the plant will thrive.(ie- that's why some people water 4x per day, to keep substrate from drying out and causing salt build up - refreshing the ec and ppm in the root zone) Friend owns a cultivation center and he grows insanely large plants and flowers in 2 gal pots of coco.
