Adding another dripper this morning in the form of a tee to get 2 per tray. Multiple watering events per day driven by spider farmer smart controller. Sensor readings have not been accurate but I have a decent timed schedule and have resorted to feeling weight of blocks to estimate water content. I spent the first 2 weeks of veg checking with a scale so fairly confident in my guessing lol

IMO weight of pot should be an input for steering inside grows. We data point everything else.........
I have a kitchen scale costs $11. come on ACI do scales under drip trays.

I was weighing on a scale but due to my uneven surface putting a scale under blocks isn't practical nor is taking them out 3 times a day to weigh at this point but i did during veg weeks. But in the future I'd love to just constantly weigh trays to verify sensor readings. Sensor seems accurate this morning off hand weighing. Running on as small of a budget as possible focusing on environment control to the extent of my tech. My lone jet fuel plant in the back is showing purple on upper bud sites already along with some slight deficiencies but the girls are drinking a gallon a day or more and my ph rise is at least 2 full points over 10 hours. Auto doser is for sure in the future

Had some extra time this afternoon to get a closer look at these buds. Checked calender, today is 2 weeks in flower. Added some pex tubing around edge of canopy to open some space, my exhaust fan was pulling the sides in when it kicked on. First 2 bud pics are sour diesel, last one is jet fuel. Starting to get signs of some frostiness on my bud leaves already which seems a little early by any previous experience I've had but I've never documented a timeline before either.

Don't be afraid to go harder on the defoliation. Air flow and light penetration are key.

Looking good.

Scared to take too much. They look so thin after a haircut. With my growth rate is a weekly heavy defoliation acceptable or stick to large fans and weak shoots?

You can pretty much strip down the leaves to practically none and they'll all grow back within a week or so and look like you never touched the plant!

Look up schwazzing to see how extreme you can get with defol. Some swear by this method. I've never tried it.

I don't do heavy defols as my theory is that the more leaf material the more energy available to the plant. I also think it stresses the plant out. My goal in every grow is to keep the girls in growth mode with the least amount of stress unless I'm stressing for a particular outcome. Whenever you stress them out they leave growth mode and go into recovery mode meaning less growth time for your plants.

If your walls are sucking in when your fan goes full power try and open up more ports for more airflow volume.

Needing help. Finally ran into my first major issue that I was hoping to avoid. Algae in reservoir. I used a clear tub with a white lid and it's inside the tent which i know in hindsight was not a good idea, and this morning when I checked ph I couldn't hear air flowing from stones I pulled them up and they were 100% coated in a slimy algae. I want to stop this before it's an issue but I have 25 minutes of light left. Anyone please advise?

Replace stones and lines. You can not clean them good enough. Run lines with no stones till you get some. H202 clean buckets or reservoirs or whatnot. Reset system like a Weekly /monthly dump.

Generally do a weekly swap but I tried to do a top off 3 days ago as the girls are starting to stank and I had some circumstances where I couldn't have the smell out and about. I have fresh stones, I'll throw them on and treat with some h2o2. I've seen varying numbers, but roughly 4ml per gallon?

While I was solving issues, I snapped some macro shots of some top bud formations and a canopy shot. First 2 are sour D and last one is jet fuel

Post- Production Sterilizing Using Hydrogen Peroxide (h2o2) Vs Common Household Bleach

I Hope this helps someone as much as it helped me. I tried several different places and types of resources to get information on this question. This is a discussion that I found that seemed to put it all of the bits and pieces in one place. I hope it will be as useful to others . I would...

Squeezed in a defoliation and a heavy cleaning this morning. Low nutrients and letting my vpd run on the higher side for 2 days stressed the jet fuel in the back but diesels seemed to take it OK. Can't bring myself to remove the popcorn buds off the lowers. Day 1 of week 4

Am i turning purple? Or do I have something else going on with this plant? Assumed yellowing was from my ph swinging too far, now it would appear to be several potential issues. Other plants seem happy other than some slight tip burn

The purpling could be genetic. I've run strains that do that without lowering the temp.

I get that when I turn plants sideways for training exposing the stems. Instead of angled light the stems gets light for say 3-8 inches. Purples up to protect its self.

Added a water line in my room so I didn't have to tote water back and forth. Yes I'm in my utility closet. Most climate consistent room in the house. Running it as a lung room with supplemental heat, humidifier is in tent. Also a screenshot of my spider farmer app with current stats. Vpd reads high but leaf temp offset of 4-5° brings vpd closer to 1.0View attachment 2424258View attachment 2424259View attachment 2424275

Dude im so JELLY! Besides finishing my shed and all that goes into that, getting water out there is top of the lis! I hate carrying buckets or dragging the house to that area of the yard! Nice job!
