Hey guys I'm new to the forms. I grow organic outdoor. I recently got a better light and a acinfinity 69 pro controller. I was using is for all my outdoor plants to prepare for the upcoming season. I chose the plants i liked best for my outdoor conditions and had two plants that i wasn't sure what to do with. So i decided to super crop/scrog them and try it out indoor. I wanted some opinion's on the setup before i flip to flower. One of my major concern is the size of pot. I believe its to small. I have a super soil mix in a 7 gallon. Theres a 60day flower time. I just topped dressed with earth dust bloom and a little calmag/fishshit water. Im thinking i need to pot up to a 15 gallon because of the plants being so big and growing so fast. The scrog is a 5’x5’ area.
Thanks for the advice
Heres some added photos for a better understanding

Hey Dude, welcome to the farm!
Though mine is big but your's is huge man! Awesome job!
Did y placed the other biggies outdoor now? Let us keep a peek on em please, would love to do some outdoor as well but we aint got safe spaces to try it.
Can't let give you recommendations on the pot size, still searching for the right one.
What worse cases could happen with a big lady in a too small container? My plant is around 30" in a 3.3 gal airpot, got no bigger pot and wanna try it with this size, flipped today.
Can't wait to see them in flower!

Yeah the rest when outside. I’m hardening them off right now. I’ll have them in the ground in a few weeks. Last year I grow some nine foot plants outdoor gorilla glue #4 great plant.

Pot size is a big deal. I’m going to up pot it before flower. I don’t want to have to water everyday or feed every week. Also plants won’t put on much yeld if the roots are too bound up. I think I answered my own question. I just wanted more options out there.

Plants look great. Suggestion put screws into those boards and build your scrog out of string. It will be much easier to cut out at harvest time. It is a pain in the ass to get the trellis nets or stretchy nets out the plants. Here is pic of how I made mine. It’s hung on ratchets so I can raise and lower it.

Week two complete. Stretched another 6-7” but definitely slowing down. I’d say there not going to stretch much more. Never got close to doubling in size. Which is fine. The way I grow I doubted it would ever happen. So far about 17” -20” stretch. The plants were around 30-34” at the start of flower if I’m remembering correctly.
Thanks for all the reply’s!

End of week three update.
Lots of early frost, over all 20” stretch, staring to smell very sweet. Looking forward to see them fatten up. Definitely an awesome job by Humboldt seed company on these genetics.

Yeah there working well even tho my plants are over five foot tall. 10-15 gallon would have been better. I’d assume the buds would have more weight by now

I’ve only used 5 gallon fabric pots, just picked up 6x 12 gallon fabric pots bet never tried the bigger ones, gunna try them out though, 15 gallon heavy duty nursery pots were almost $30 each…. Yeah nah lol I’ll go fabric for that price lol, I’m in the same boat, girls are huge bushes already, already 4’ tall still vegging in 3 gallon pots glad I chose to grab the 12 gals quick,

your plants look excellent and sick scrog setup! 20” is about the stretch I see if I flip when they hit my top net on average, right now is kinda a good representation with them hanging with the fans removed

Very nice! Yeah I built a little room in my shop. All the tent sizes and prices I didn’t like. I had a 5x5 and there just so restrictive. Even good ones have light leaks, I have huge led shop lights. It’s hard in a tent to insulate the walls. My shop in the winter will be 35 to 55 degrees. Then in the summer 90-100. It was cheaper and easier to control environment to just build a room. Now that it’s I insulated and sealed. I can keep the humidity and temp with in 2 degrees at all times. My VPD is solid anywhere I want to put it. I bumped my co2 up to 1200ppm and set my light for 1,200par in the center with about 750 on the outer edges. They should fatten up even with 7 gallon pots. But they would’ve been better in bigger pots. I think with the room workin so well I’ll probably go with a living soil 4x4 bed in there. Idk tho because I’m going to dry in that room too so… maybe wait until I get a spot to dry separate from the room.

Thanks for the feedback.

Yeah it’d be hard to dry in there with all that medium in the tent still, but the room sounds awesome! Eventually I’ll remove these tents and build proper rooms in their place, was a did general construction for 15 years so it’s just be a fun little project… besides the wallet pain buyin all the materials nowadays , just so much going on

Just got the 12 gallon pots can’t wait to use them, they swallow 5 gallon buckets whole
