Go rockwool with recirculating drip, continuous feed during light cycle; nothing during dark cycle. You will not get faster growth with any other method. 4x4x4 blocks would be perfect for high plant count sog or a 4x4 sitting on top of a 6x6x6 for some big plants. Chech out @GasPlease https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/the-gas-chamber-killer-buds.173372/post-3402477. He just recently went to my watering scheme recently and it's blowing his mind.

I normally grew in rockwool slabs, I'm now experimenting with 1/2" rockwool bits in 2 gal square pots. These clones were cut on 12/31, put in the 4x4x4 and those into the 2 gal pots on 1/7 and flipped to 12/12 on 1/23 (16 days veg) They are now 55 days from being cut and 32 days of 12/12

3 scrog nets trying to keep the cali blues contained. None of these plants have been topped

Currently having to top up 17 gal reservoir 1/2 way through 12 hr light cycle - appx 12 gal/24 hrs total

SCROG=screen of green; similar to sog with less plants (good if you have low plant number limit), goal is a nice even canopy of top colas.

(the cali's don't like the high feed numbers, I've lowered slightly, but the pbb's are my priority)

I'm disabled and can't spend a lot of time standing or crawling around, so I just do a lazy mans scrog and let them go for the most part. I only have access to the front of the tent, which makes it even harder.

@fast.freddy the style of scrog I'm using is a little different than traditional scrog. It requires more work and attention but is capable of producing massive yields with it being almost all top colas. The pic below isn't a perfect example. She got away from me and will have some larf in the center but if done right you get mostly top colas.

She is a blue cheese auto from royal queen seeds. Not anything special for the genetics. Day 91 above ground and will be harvested in the next week or two. I'm expecting around the 2lb mark but maybe a pound of quality bud on this one. This was my first hydro and first attempt at this method so it's not too hard. One could easily get 1lb per plant/seed every 90-100 days.

The setup is also very easy and can be made out of containers someone might already have around the house. I like using storage totes for the res and drain tray.

Regardless of grow method rockwool is top of the list for plant development as far as media goes.
