First time taking clones - Indoor Growing

I’ve taken these clones around 8 days ago. I’m not sure if they are supposed to look like this before beginning to root or if they were just simply unsuccessful. These clones were taken in early flower.

Not necessarily. Once flowers show, cuttings won’t root until they get enough light to go back into veg.
It can take many weeks.i would suggest that you wet those pups daily with PHed, aerated water and 16/8 soft lighting.
