I’m growing indoors in like a 4’x2’x4’ tent. Have fox farm ocean forest soil and the trio pack of nutrients, two 300w led lights, 2 mini fans, little heater, and little humidifier, 203 cfm exhaust fan. 5 seeds of gorilla glue...
anyways lol last Saturday I germinated using paper towel method. All 5 had some nice tap roots by Monday. I planted the seeds in to little seed trays. and they popped out of the soil in a day!
I’m trying to lead into some questions here. My dumb ass didn’t throughly wet the soil before popping the seeds in. I popped em straight in and sprayed decently with a spray bottle. The soil in the little trays drys up quick I feel. And I feel like I’m watering too much. It’s that normal for the trays? I should’ve used a solo cups. Or have them in a propagation thing.

They’re doing fine but it’s just worrying me. I have two fans on the heater will kick on every so often. One light on for 18 hrs a day placed like 22” above the plant. The temp sits at 80f 60% humidity. The exhaust fan isn’t on or it’ll suck all the humidity out.

Sorry here’s the questions. What do you guys think about the little growing trays? Why’s it drying so fast? Cause everywhere I look it says don’t water seeds too much or they don’t need much water to start. I think that exhaust fan is too big for the tent? Annnd I have two lights. Only one on right now. I was going to buy just one. But last second I thought I’d get two. Am I gonna need both?

if anyone could help a brotha out, I’d love you for ever
Thanks
Cap
Ps I put a pic of em they broke soil on Monday and looking okay to me.

Update. I think they’re doing fine. I transferred them to 3 gal pots yesterday. Fed first dose (3 tsp) of big bloom. Adjusted lights to 16”. Leaves were a little droopy after watering. I spritzed them with a water bottle today cause the soil still seems a little dry. I notice a little yellowing today. One has been looking sad. Most of the cotyledons are turning yellow. Having trouble regulating temp and humidity. Got as high as 86F, 70% humidity.
I know no ones replying to this shit but I’m posting photos lmao. I’m only like 10 days in after germination.

Exhaust is on now. Letting cold air in bottom. They stay around 80f and 60% humidity. With lights on during the day.

This is what I’m doing and I follow these photos to help me. Lights 15 inches above plants. Humidity around 55% temp around 80f lights on. Temp goes to around 73f lights off. FF trio nutes and ocean forest soil. Have a small humidifier on during lights on. Small dehumidifier for lights off and a small heater. Got a big dehumidifier for the room outside the tent and it’s helped A LOT for humidity control. Exhaust fan lowest setting lights on. Then exhaust fan full blast lights off.

I’m surprised the feeding schedule is calling for extra nutes with the Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil. That soil should have plenty of nutrients to easily get you through the first month or so. I’d have to look back at my grow journal to see when I started adding nutrients but just watch those plants to make sure you don’t start burning them with nutrients. B8KD

Right I want to give them what it calls for but at the same time I don’t. I gave them like half a dose of big bloom When I transplanted them. Then I see what you say a lot out there too. So I laid off and not giving them anything but normal water for the next week. Now I’m continuing half of what it calls for at week 3 lol

Looking good man. I’m about ten days ahead of you with same nutes and soil. Transplanted from solo cups to 3gal pots at 3 weeks and am running 2 1000w bestva led lights at about 20 inches from plants. Have been just feeding ph’d water haven’t added any nutes. Mine seem to love what the soil has in it so I haven’t fed mine all yet. Will probably feed right after I switch to flower in a week or so. Will keep you updated to see how long mine will go before they need some nutes in the feeding

Hell yeah dude. That’s cool. What size tent do you have? The ppm and ph part hurts my brain a little bit haha. I have another thread up about when I should flower. A dude is telling me about some lst and making a spiral due to my limited space.

What do you think about that?

I’m in an 8x4x8honestly I haven’t worried about ppm at all since I haven’t ran any nutes and my tap water I feed with has a really low ppm and great ph so I don’t mess with that as of right now. I’ll be at 5 weeks this Sunday. I thought about starting flower last week but decide to do some lst just to open up some more bud sites for another week or so before I switch.basically I just bent mine over and tied down. I waited a little long though stalks were already pretty stiff. Here is where I’m at right now with mine.

The plants are doing good, blurples tend to highlight every little blemish and make things look like issues.
