Flip flop setups, any difference in bud formation?

My one plant vertical flip flop op should be ready soon but Ive heard a few experienced growers mention that buds may not be as large as not using the flip flop method.
I thought Id ask you growers what your experience has led you to discover on the use of the flip flop method?

In case your interested my grow will look something like this... (pasted & cropped from THCFarmer lol)

Only 2 bulbs will be on at any one time.
All bulbs are 600W each.
For the first week/2 weeks the plant will be surrounded with 400W bulbs to ease it in.

heaths tree grow on icmag was sort of like this with flip flop lighting in the light cycle. never tried it myself but that grow was killer

thought about this concept for a closet one time.... be curious to hear the responses people give
