I got my little ounce of floramite for $40 from a local hydro shop.
I used it one time, 7 months ago. Only a few drops...
And I haven't needed to use it since...

I also found Spider Mites yesterday... My Guru told me Floramite will work with one application only.... He then warned me to wear a respirator and chemical gloves while working with this product.

Needless to say; I found a SAFE product that can be used up to and including day of harvest! Azamax.... Apply every 3rd day for 3 applications, then a prophylactic treatment of every 10 days... I've treated my grlz (Luckily still in Vegg).... I have friends from Southern Cal who swear by Azamax, and it was only $20.....

More updates on my Azamax experience soon... :tongueout:

I spent yesterday deciding what product to use on Spider Mites. My Guru; Father Nature told me Foramite is the best, but he warned me to wear a respirator and chemical gloves....

My Southern Cali grower friends all tell me Azamax is the only way to go. It is the ONLY OMNI guaranteed product. And the price was just about $20...

More updates soon.... :smoke:

I believe Azamax does not kill the eggs, just the live insects. Floramite kills mites in all stages. I found a 1 oz. bottle for $24, shpg. included.......on Ebay.

Yes, Azamax must be reapplied after 72 hours because it does not kill eggs... If you find your self applying Azamax repeatedly, and the mites keep appearing, you will end up with Azamax resistant mites.

Floramite can be found in 1 oz bottles on Ebay regularly.

Another effective miticide is Forbid 4F. It transports through the leaf so that applying to the bottoms of leaves is less essential, and it is residual so it will stick around on the plant for a couple weeks, ensuring that any lingering mites get nuked. It also kills mites at all stages of development.

But, Floramite and Forbid are serious chems. Always wear the recommended personal protective gear when handling and applying. Not for use on flowering plants. Personally, when I had to use it, I did not flower the sprayed plants, but instead skipped them and took clones. I have not seen a return of any mites, but it has only been a month or two.

UPDATE...:

I've dosed my grlz twice now, 3 days apart and I havn't seen a single moving thing since the first application, but being Azamax does NOT kill eggs I did the second dose at the medium strength(6%).. First application was 8%... I will dose them again with a 4% strength...

So far, I'm VERY HAPPY with the results of Azamax...:D

Nope. Mites wont build up a tolerance to Azamax/Azatrol. It will usually take a month or more to fully work but will kill mites dead if you stick to a schedule.

True you can spray up till harvest but I def wouldnt. If you are having to spray up until harvest your gonna be smoking mites. Yuck and gross. Not to mention it will prob taste like azatrol/azamax
