Flowering for the first time

I had 2 unsuccessful grows in a row, but I grew from my mistakes and am finally making it to the flowering stage. I wanted to make a journal so I could get some advice and tips so I hope you guys check it out.

I'm going to start flowering on Monday here's some pictures of it now. It's a foot tall.

Also I'm using a
400w MH for veg HPS for flower.
GH nutes (lucasformula)
5 gallon bucket deep water culture system


and a question... the tips of some my leaves are yellowing but I don't think it's from heat stress and my ph is right around 6.0 maybe i'm using too much nutes not sure.

Using too much nutes is always one thing ppl do when starting. What are your PPM levels at? I am going to guess thats going on with yours from the way your fan leaves are at a 45dg angle (the first pic, top leaves). You want your leaves straight out. When they are like that, it is too many nutes. Try using 1/2 strength of the suggested amounts. PH is fine at 5.5-6.0
