I really need help with this problem I have.

I have been running my setup for a couple years now a veg room and a bloom room very simple. Well all of a sudden my girls WONT FLOWER!!!

I guess my question is what will inhibit cannabis from flowering besides light leaks and interuptions?

I have checked my digital timers over and over and have check for lightleaks countless times and can say that is definitely not the problem.

Changes that have been made are I switched out my 2 1000w hps from Hortilux to Digilux, I vegged for about 8-10 weeks and I usually veg for 4 weeks and the temps have been getting in the 90s sometimes.

I have some girls that have been sitting in 12/12 for 11 weeks and have not flowered at all they just continue with veg growth. Some girls flower but look like they are at week 2 or 3 when they have been in bloom for 8 weeks.

Desperate and at the end of my wits here.

First thing you need to do is stop opening multuple threads on a single problem.

Cannabis is a photoperiod plant. Start there.

I'd say 12/12 isn't what it needs. Every strain is different and sometimes every grow is different even with the same strain. Try only 10 hours light for a week and see if that don't kick them in the ass.

Thank you for the advice!

Hey, no problem! 12/12 is just a median and may be good for most strains but I've had some flower with more or less. It's probably right on the line for your girls. Just enough to start flowering but not enough to let them really go. Now relax - nothing bad is going to happen in the next week, except they might jump into serious flower for you! And with all that veg time . . . you're sure to get a good harvest!

I'm gonna switch the timers to 10/14 tonight once my lights turn on. I cannot describe the destress this has caused me and really appreciate the help!

They have been vegging for so long now that same are about 8' tall lol. I sure hope they dont go thru stretch once they do begin flowering.

Depends on the strain - what is it? "Stretch" is relative. For an 8' plant, I'd count on at least another foot unless she's not known to stretch much. And god help you if it is a real stretchy one. Hope you got the head room! If not, I'd say top them NOW. Better to have several good buds than a smashed/burned top with small lower buds. How the hell you gonna get light to the sides/bottom? Better start doing some searching for info on your strain - see if you can find out how she grows for others.

Try and keep them in total light for 3 days see if that works a little light dep sometimes kicks them in

you need to ask your self is it still growing ??? and if it stalled then i would suggest looking at medium ph levels i have had plants look perfect and in flower but all of a sudden just stop growing medium stayed wet for way to long ..
My last resort was flush and low n behold my ph was 5.0 and ppm off the charts 2000 ppm so if you got any of these symptoms i suggest you look at your medium
other then that could be plants are not mature yet ,, light leaks , over abundance of Nitrogen , temps

I'll check runoff tonight. I usually feed pretty low. One of the things that I noticed is the quality of the SS#4 Im getting has changed, it has this white growth everywhere and stinks. All of them are a least 2 or 3 months old most being cuts from plants over 2 years old. A few clones that I bought I am sure are probably closer to 10 years old.

Its multiple strains some indica doms and some sativa doms. More than half of them I have ran before countless times. Perpetually. It is just so confusing ive been doing the same exact thing with this exact setup for going on 3 years and then all of a sudden they wont flower.

@DrFever How high of temps would you say is too high and enough to inhibit flowering?

When I had this issue it was my ph. I scratched my arse for a few weeks till I figured it out lol. I repotted at 33 days in to flower and they have really took off now. This is my first grow so I'm not trying to advise u just thought I'd mention it. I hope your girls take off for you. Should be a great harvest once they get going for ya. :)

Wow, OK now I see why you're so freaked out. Thought it was just 1 strain, maybe a new strain you hadn't grown before. This is a stumper! Still, I'd say changing your light cycle is first thing to do. It's fast, easy and free to check. And if that don't do it, at least you've crossed that off the list. Definitely start checking the things listed by DrFever, one at a time. You're gonna have to go Sherlock Holmes on this one. Nothing like a good puzzle to get the brain juice flowing!

Thank you to everyone who has tried to help me with this problem!

I increased ventilation and lowered yhe temps by about 10 degrees and that seems to have done the trick. A good 85% of the girls are now showing signs of flowering.

Will keep everyone posted on what happens.

That is a very weird problem. I would have said the same thing...go to 10/14. I've never seen 90's prevent them from flowering. They can stretch themselves out, & bleach out terpenes, but never seen a photo not flower because of temps (not saying it can't happen).

If the temps remain high in the 90's I could see it. Part of the natural process is a distinct drop in temperature, and really high temps I imagine could cause them to not flower as they're in survival mode at that point. VPD would be atrocious so no metabolism is going on as the stomata aren't opening, leaves aren't performing photosynthesis and instead they're trying to retain as much moisture as possible. I imagine the internal fluid movement may even slow down, though I'm no botanist. Glad to see you got your problem resolved. They're probably going to absolutely explode now.

Yay! You said you switched out your lights. The new ones must be running hotter.

The bubba kush literally went from single calyxes with a few pistils to little pinky nail sized preflowers in LITERALLY a single night... Have never seen anything like that happen before lol

I also raised the lights a bit.

It just scares me because I thought I knew "laws" that govern cannabis and now they can just stop flowering at any time and I don't know what to do to correct the problem... So now ill grow in constant fear of this problem rearing its head again :(
