Temp / humidity still all over the place depending on if have the light at 25% or 50% and if I leave the humidity dome on or off.

Took the humidity dome off and added a fan and a humidifier to the tent. Checked to see if the Short Nepali Auto had any roots coming out of the rockwool cube yet and was amazed that there were a LOT of roots visible. Will have to plant the cubes in fabric grow pots tomorrow. Thinking I’ll put the two Autos in 7 gallon pots and the 2 Photos in 1 gallon pots for now. Will have to keep them all in the tent for a while still. Probably at least another month before they can go outside, so Really need to get the temp / humidity under control!! These pics are about 12 hours apart.

Looking good so far i would say.

Cant recognize well at the moment, the Critical Mass is that a Seedshell or the Cotyledons ? if its the Shell i like to remove them with twizers but thats just me maybe. The bottom leaf looks like its missing some parts but i guess its just the perspective and the leaves are just curled a bit.

so lets get started

Where did you place your tent, and does a Wall face the outside ?
Is your Humidifier or Inline Fan controllable based on Humidity ? like have it turn on or off at certain ranges.
For the Dome just leave it Off, i guess the Blueberry is a Dud but even if not the watering or spraying is said to give enough supported Humidity to give "left behind" Seeds the last push if one hasnt popped yet you dont wanna give up on yet. Though ive also seen people that split them and put them in different Domes ( they seperated each cone or sometimes a row which im no fan of)
For the Lights, do you keep changing the intensity from 25 to 50?
Also did you match your Light cycles with your Temperature i.e. if the Night is to cold/Day to hot to have the Light turn on at night and off during the day?

It is now. Just bought a humidifier that will allow me to set it for whatever Humidity I want.

Yes, Dome is off.

Definitely a dud. Tried everything to get it to germinate - no luck at all.

I had been. Now I've just left it at 25

Wow - great idea. Hadn't even thought of doing this. If the new humidifier and light setting doesn't fix the fluctuations, I'll give this a try!

Once again - Thanks for all the input! Greatly appreciated.
Now I have to start postings to catch up w. today!

This is Day 19 since I put the seeds in water. Still trying to fix the humidity / temps in the tent. Think the temp is fine and getting closer w. humidity. I don’t know, the seedlings still look very small to me. Guessing the humidity fluctuations might be stunting them?

Ordered the Island Herbz Starter Cure Kit. 4 lids that are airtight on mason jars and have a digital display of the Temp & Humidity. SO cool. Can’t wait to try them out.

Day 20. Temp is fine, Humidity is all over the place. Might just have to buy a fancy humidifier that can set the humidity temp.

Transplanted the seedlings. Put the two Photos in 1 gallon fabric grow pots. Put the two Autos in 7 gallon fabric grow pots. Used Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, perlite, and mycorrhizal fungi. Added some growth powder to the rockwool cubes and topped them all off w. worm castings. Put them in the tent. The 20 inch saucers are ridiculously large! But who knows, maybe I’ll try a grow pot big enough to fit at some point. Added two fans to the tent, along w. the humidifier. The Autos look TINY in those 7 gallon grow pots!

Day 21. Still having issues regulating the humidity. Was at 47% in the morning and 60% at night. Temp was 83 both times. Watered them.

IF you think youll have an Issue with Temps and want to Controll it get a dedicated AC or Heater you wont be able to use the Humidifier during Flower and might even need a Dehumid.
Not sure if Cool/warm mist would even influence the Temp that much, i think that function is only there to make the Air more "enjoyable" to breath just a guess on my part though.

My Humidity stabilized once the Plants grew a bit, about their 3rd or 4th leaf pair i think. Might take a bit longer this way, without humidifier but theyll still pull through. Might not necesarrly need a Humid, you know your min and max Humidity?

Day 28. Finally got a chance to do some work on my tent. Set humidity to 70% on the new humidifier. Added another fan. Attempted to fix the two Autos: dug them out w. all roots intact, added a LOT of Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil and Perlite to the 7-gallon grow pots.

Fed all 4 plants their first dose of GeoFlora Veg – 2 Tbs each to the 1-gallon Photos and 2/3 cup each to the 7-gallon Autos. Gave all of them a thorough watering. Hopefully, they’ll all respond well.

Am I right that I can top one of my Photos at this point? Sure looks like it!

I’d love someone to talk me thru this and give their opinion / advice.

I just bought a 4x4 Vivosun tent and a 400W Vivosun LED Light. I have a new Spider Farmer 6” fan / carbon filter as well. I was going to set up the SF ventilation system, then realized that then I couldn’t use the Vivosun smart controller.

Am I crazy to want to try to sell the new Spider Farmer just so I can buy the system from Vivosun and then use a smart controller? Are the smart controllers worth the hassle? It sounds wonderful to be able to control everything from outside the tent, but I’ve never used one before.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Day 34. Watered the two Photos. Looks like there will be a different watering schedule for the Autos and Photos since the 1-gallon grow pots will dry out much faster than the 7-gallon grow pots. All continue to look pretty good. Maybe a bit smaller than they should be, but healthy and growing.

One of the Photos looks like it’s leaves are starting to yellow. What’s going on there and what do I need to do to get the color back to a dark green?

I woudnt worry about it for the inline Fan aslong as it comes with its own controll unit which seem to be the case?

Generally speaking you either have the Fan on all the Time, on low setting and kick the speed up once say Humidity gets too high (though its own controller) or just run it on mid all the time. Granted you can get away with not using it for the first few Weeks but thats something i would determine manually.

Wouldnt give me any benefits in my mind to see whether the Fan is on rn or at which speed hes running. Would just use the included SF Controller, set it up once and then hang it somewhere it doesnt distrub you maybe on the side of the Tent. And have the Vivosun accessible/visible and use with your other Gear.

The other Photo looks like it’s leaves are starting to yellow as well. Checked pH of soil – all 4 plants are at a pH of 7.

Added some CalMag to the water. Watered the two Photos. Will set up some LST (Low Stress Training) for all 4 plants tomorrow.

Day 39. Topped the two Photos. Started LST (Low Stress Training) on both the Autos and Photos. Watered all (CalMag added). Very surprised that the two Autos were already dry!

First time trying LST - does it look right?

Day 41. Tried to tie down the base of the plant stems to anchor them. Hopefully, this works. Also, can one of my Autos already have started to flower (last picture)??

Yeah, autos are fun, especially reg autos. I assume you've got fems? If so no worries and be ready for harvest in 4+ weeks depending on the strain of course.

Day 42. Tried to tie down the plants the way suggested. Added GeoFlora Veg (second feeding) to all four plants. Watered all 4 (w. added CalMag). Appears that one of the Autos has started to flower. Crazy, especially since I didn’t plan on bringing it outside for another month. Curious how big this will get.
