Sooo, was trying to gently bend a branch of my blueberry glue auto for LST and…SNAP! There went the top part of the plant! Didn’t top them so I wouldn’t stress them out and I end up breaking off a big part of the stem instead?! Brilliant. Just brilliant...

Can this Auto be salvaged?
Should I give up on it and start up another seed?

Day 48. More LST. Turned the light up one notch to 75%. Short Nepali is getting tons of bud sites.

The two Autos are looking good. Healthy and very bushy. The two Photos are looking pretty poor. Gave the two Autos their first feeding of GeoFlora Bloom. Gave the two Photos a feeding of GeoFlora Veg. Watered all 4 plants.

Plants are REALLY starting to stink up the house. So, finally ordered my ventilation system and fans from Vivosun. Will be able to hook it all up to a smart controller monitor outside the tent. SO cool.

Once again, the Photos in the 1-gallon fabric grow pots looked really wilted. Watered them. Hopefully, they’ll perk up again soon. Need a chance to bring them outside and plant them. Debating putting both into the ground or plant one in ground and other in a larger fabric grow pot.

Day 65. Finally got a chance to check on plants. Hadn’t really been able to properly care for them because of migraines and dad in hospital. All 4 plants were REALLY wilted. The two photos look horrible! Gave a thorough watering (w. added CalMag) to all. Hope this revives them. Lots of dead leaves due to drought. Turned the lights from 75% down to 25% for the rest of the day. Guessing a combination of high light intensity, high tent temperature and little water all helped nearly kill off all the plants!! Can’t let it go like this again…Hoping to plant the two photos in the backyard very very soon.

Brought the two Phenos outside. They look a lot better than they did yesterday. They need to look a lot better still. Started prepping the area where want to plant the two Phenos. Need to get rid of the rocks. Soil looks like it has a lot of clay, so going to dig a huge hole and fill w. my soil. Very curious how big they can get when not in a grow pot.

Pruned a lot of leaves from the two Photos. Because of back issues (surgery coming up SOON), I’ve decided to give up on de-weeding and de-rocking the garden where I want to plant. Instead, I’m going to plant the two Photos in raised plant beds. Hopefully, they’ll drastically improve once they’re out of the small 1-gallon fabric grow pots.

Bought two bags of Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil and one bag of the Fox Farm Happy Frog soil. Also bought four Marigolds to use as companion plants.

Bought more companion plants: Lavender, Chamomile, Rosemary and Basil. Really hoping to transplant my two Photos and a lot of companion plants tomorrow!

Really bad migraine today, so didn’t get a chance to check on the Autos & Photos at all. The two Photos are outside and they got rained on today.

Started to fill the raised bed. Will transplant the two Photos tomorrow.

5/29/24
Because of migraines, didn’t get a chance to check on the Autos til nightfall. Once again, extremely wilted. Lifted the LED lights up higher. Watered them.

5/30/24
Finally transplanted the two Photos into raised beds outside. Used ALL of the soil from last season as a base, then 2.5 bags of Fox Farm Ocean Forest, then a bag of Happy Frog soil. Added perlite. Added Myco to the roots area. Fed them GeoFlora Veg (I’m off a couple days on this feeding schedule). Watered them.

Really hope they start to perk up again. Debating using tomato cages as a means of LST.

Questions on companion plants:
Sounds like Marigold and Chamomile both release helpful chemicals into the soil. I have my two outside Autos planted in raised beds. Is there anything negative with planting the companion plants in the same raised beds that have the Photos?

Not that I know but I've never tried it with weed. I grow Cilantro with tomatoes in the same container, no problems.

Being herbs they may not do well with nutrients but autos shouldn't need a lot like regs.

Lots of rain (as well as Tornado warnings) for the two Photos. Pruned off a lot of leaves w. issues on the two Autos.

STILL setting up the grow tent. Watered the Autos.

FINALLY planted the companion plants around the two Photos. Might have waited too long for the chamomile. Let’s see if it survives. Rained again.

More rain for the Photos. More companion plants (Rosemary) placed right next to the two Photos. Placed tomato cages around both Photos. Used metal stakes to start LST on the Photos. Chamomile looks like it’s going to make it.

Grow tent is now totally set up / automated. Fed the two Autos some GeoFlora Bloom and watered them.

Back surgery a couple days ago. Will have to rely on my wife to care for the plants for the next…month? At least as far as watering! Watered inside and outside. For some reason the tent fans weren’t oscillating. Got them moving again.

Watered the Autos. The Blue Berry Glue Auto has a lot of yellowing leaves. Trimmed off a lot of the dead leaves from both Autos. Tried to get decent pics of the trichomes. Very curious how long til harvest. The pistils have started to change color from white to amber. Not really seeing anything w. the trichomes yet.
