Hi, I've been successfully growing for years and am improving my skills in the root zone, but I am trying to improve my brix levels, so I must adopt the practice of foliar feeding. There's plenty of info on the web about how to foliar feed, when where and why, but there's not much about making your own, or how else it can be used. I've read in articles that glazed right over the fact that foliar sprays can be absorbed into the stem/branches, but no added explanation. So here are some of my questions that I still have after many various search attempts.

1) When making foliar sprays from nutrient salts, is there a TDS/EC strength I should not exceed? Is there also a preferred PH range? I will be mixing salts with things like fish ferts and other organics, but I'm still a bit fuzzy about the limits, or rules that apply to the foliage, relative to the rules for the roots.

2) Is there a know absorption rate of foliar feeds into the stems and branches? I've read on the web that absorption "can" occur, but no more info about it. Is there a known comparison leaves>roots>branches for absorption? If branches can absorb sprays, I wonder if it could be basted on with a brush and done during lights on with no concern of accidentally spraying the lights from spraying leaf bottoms.

Any insights or something you may have once read, please share. I hate it when Google doesn't answer all the questions.
