Mac f2 Day 44 I'm in coco using canna ab, soluble silica, Epsom, bloombastic, boost.

Ppm 890
Ph 5.9
Lights 2x 315cmh 3100k

Any thoughts on what I can do to stop the fox tail?

It’s usually heat or light stress. Sometimes genetics.

Agree - but this one is doesn't look genetic. its bad How close is the light and whats the temp and rh?

As stated in the title: I can't raise the lights any more. They are about 15" from the bulb at the closest point. Nothing I can do?

So too close?
Max temp 77f

Agree, but it might already be too late to stop the tails.
Yeah..not much he can do now..i was amazed when i got foxtails right down through the plant.it made me think it was genetic but previous plants same strain wernt when grown outdoors.

They are cmh too hey..always thought they keep the nodes close together..thos verticals put out a little more intensity then horizontal..how far awy was the light when srtarted stretching.

I grow under two of those as well in flower. 4x4 room. I can raise my lights 30 above the plants and the tops will still do it on occasion. Mine don’t get that big and lanky but I tie them down very aggressively in veg. What did u do with those in veg. I can’t help much on the fox tailing but with those two lights it’s a lot. I wish the driver was separated to be honest. Gets hot. But regardless curious how they got so tall. Strain? Etc

That is a lot of lights on the plants.....🤔 But, not sure you can do anything now about the fox tales that have already appeared, but in future maybe try only one of those lights if they stretch up so far, or maybe LST the plant to spread it out and get better light distribution for your colas overall 👍

So do mine 👍 But not everyone grows under the same environmental conditions and subtle changes do make a difference. I tried using a new 2000W LED a while back to reduce heat in my flower tent, figuring it would help reduce electrical costs and heat build up over lights on, however, I learned that equating heat to light intensity found me dimming back my lights because the intensity was there, but certainly not the heat. I'm back to my CMH and now into my own closed room set up. If all things are equal, the all SHOULD be equal, but I found this to be the F%#K factor to different growers and how they grow.

They don't make 2000w LED so they were not equal. Marketing scam that advertisers use. equivalent and generally very inflated.

Hopefully a heat issue you can correct in the future with more aggressive pruning and training :)

Yeah I got a little lazy on the training and let them go too long in veg. Here's a little collage of the 12 i sprouted, including 6 male that I culled prior to this thread.
