I hate to break out my Threadkill 5000 again but, I'm feeling the need to fill you guys in a little.
Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis is a living hell. In ms the white blood cells attack the central nervous system as if it were a foreign body, from the brain on down to the nerve fibers. It slowly takes away all of your abilities, affecting the extremities first, usually starting with the legs, and as one might expect, it also causes erectile dysfunction. The white blood cells eat the myelin coating from the nerve fibers from the spinal cord on down. Imagine a large grouping of wiring that has the coating scraped away in multiple places all throughout the bundle and what that would do to the signals being sent through that wiring. Messages get lost, misread, and you also get false signals. I can't tell you how many times I've just randomly felt like I was getting burned or jabbed with a pin or something. The misery that you feel throughout your whole body is something that is difficult to understand unless you're wearing those shoes. I can't find it now but, I read a webpage a while back where this guy was talking about his ms and saying that he had gotten mono and he didn't even know it, his doctors picked up on it. That should give you some idea. There's been so many times that I've gotten sick and I didn't really pick up on anything until my wife was complaining about what was going on with her because she had the same thing and then it would hit me, oh yeah, I've got that going on too. The only up-side to it is that I can normally keep going through things that would drop somebody else.
So when someone tells you that kidney stones are the worst kind of pain and shitiness you can believe them, anything that can put me down like I was yesterday is some bad-ass shit.
Sorry for blowing shit up, I just felt a need to let you guys know what I go through, at least on a physical level, the psychological is a completely different story, I could probably go on forever on that side of things, but we won't go there.
