I saw that guant again walkin down the same trail as he always does cept this time he veered towards me a lil more(within 15yds). Had perfect wind the whole deal but instead of clearing a shooting lane back in August i just kept goin out there like a dumb fuck and watchin this deer walk right down the same trail 5 or 6x now WITHIN SHOOTING RANGE mind u. And instead of goin out there w a saw and doin 5 minutes of cutting.
So this time he gets about 15 yds away and i see this fuckin pin hole i can shoot em thru so as hes walkin by i say to em......MAAAAAAAAAP! The fucker takes 2 extra steps past my lil spot i was gonna shoot em at and stands there fer what felt like 5min and im lookin for a spot between the twigs and i got NOTHIN.
So needless to say i just got back from doin some cutting to make myself a lane to shoot thru.
@sixstring i got a question for you. ....
Did i fuck my chances up by goin out there and rompin thru the woods cuttin down saplings? How soon wud u go back there n hunt? And why did i not do it in august?

I would not go back out till after a good rain or snow now because your scent will be there till that happens.
But you could move farther down the run he is using and catch him sooner.
My spot is off limits to people from sept 1st till i get my 2 or 3 deer out of there lol.
