Howdy......raining today and am bored so I went to the grow store for supplies. They quit putting prices on their products. Hmmm.....now I know why. I always check online pricing before going in there. So I made them price everything out before taking anything to the counter.

I have been going in there for years now, ever since they opened and its been harder and harder to do business with them. Amazing.....people just go in and buy shit without asking about prices. I get a 20% discount and it would have cost an extra $50 to buy there. Fuck that!!! I left and bought it online. These assholes are bandits. They mark everything up from MSRP and give a discount back to full retail.

From now on it is Amazon.com and no shipping as I am a prime customer. I saved 30%.

Still raining.....still bored.....
The only thing I buy local is soil, my cousin picks it up for me, I buy everything else from Amazon, love my Prime membership! That free 2-day shipping is great. From what my cousin tells me about prices on different things in the local grow stores I save a ton of money buying nutrients and bulbs and stuff online.

Im sure u do save money that way......
What i been doin is havin my grow shop guy try n match the online prices.....honestly he isnt always able to but i dont mind occasionally payin a lil more for stuff and supporting local biz.....

I try n by American and stay outta big box stores. Not only do i find American products are better, simpler, easier, but i also find value in good service and thats gotta be worth something. I went to home depot the other day for some wire . I musta wandered around for 15min lookin for an employee to cut me 15ft of wire for a grounding rod. (U know how they have the wire on the big index...)
Wudda been much better off goin to a local suppy house and spending another few bucks but i was helpin a buddy who had a home Depot cc

I totally agree G gnome, but the owner of this store would fuck his mother out of her last dime. I feel like I am walking on to a used car lot. Unfortunately after awhile you learn. I will still buy soil and perlite but everthing else is Amazon.

Thanks man use to tattoo and draw a lil here an there .
You used to tattoo too, huh? I didn't do it for too long, I started about the time this disease was really starting to screw me up so, I wasn't able to stick with it. I actually started off in my buddy's tattoo shop as a body piercer. I wasn't able to keep up with my job as a mechanic very well anymore and he needed a piercer so, I learned everything I could about it and then I just dove in, I had my license in no time and I went full-time with him in the shop. After a while he ended up giving me an apprenticeship to tattoo, in the short time I did it I did manage to win one 2nd place trophy for a tribal piece that I did from one of the big tattoo shows that we have up here. I've won a pile of awards, (trophies, plaques, etc.), for tattoos I have on me that my buddy did, like 21 or something.

I'm sure someone in your situation its a lot easier to do it online! I'd love to give my money to local company's but half of those fucks work with the 5-0 and report when we buy in bulk or certain items. So I'm forced to buy online, I buy local when I can.

At one time I was all about supporting local businesses, back when I was a part of the community but now, I'm not able to go and deal with these people myself to build relationships and get better deals and so on, etc. Now, I have to worry more about what's easier and cheaper and stuff like that. Ya know?
