She makes gorgeous nuggets. My profile pic is a handful of them from her last run. The umbrella drank is just starting her show tho and is no slouch. She hits her stride a little later, after day 40-42.Those sugarpants look to be killer!! That is going to be some frosty chunky nugs!!! Great stuff man, I’ll check back in!

Okay, I got one too. A buddy and I worked in a hospital, during a break we went into a building supply duct we had access to, out of site and the smoke just disappeared. We come back into the building and there was a fire dept call. about a skunk in the building.........they sent a team out to investigate...nothing was found and the smell went away.....we only did that once...lolWhen you stop by the donut shop after defoliating and didn’t change shirts…View attachment 1308482

Evening farmers (at least here in the states). Wrapping up week six and getting into the back third. Today is day 42 of 12-12. Both of these girls continue to be trouble free other than the tallest tops of the sugarpants showing some light stress. Brought her light up an inch and a half and knocked it down 10% to give her a little breather.
The sugarpants is well into her show. The umbrella drank takes a little longer to get cooking. She is really starting her swell now and will get sparkly AF over the next week.

Really pushing the number of tops in the space. Wouldn’t do it with a lot of strains, but the growth habit of both of these girls keeps the bud nice and separated so the breeze blows right through and around. Humidity hasn’t been an issue as yet. My intake air is so dry this time of year that it gives me a little insurance. Happy growing all. Cheers

Me: yeah, I should have tossed those. I kind of hate that strain.
Wifey: Oh come on, I really love the flavor of it and the black buds are cool.
Me: Whaaa? It’s a crappy novelty strain from a just OK breeder. It smells like a weird ass bouquet of flowers. Tastes totally nondescript. And is finicky as fuck to grow. The seeds are like five years old and I am more than done with them.
Wifey: You know what though, every time I smoked those, it made me totally horny af. Like enough so that I distinctly remember it.
…so here’s a one month old dark devil auto. Being a bit finicky and getting ready to turn straight black. If you haven’t seen one finished, they do look kind of cool, but look at pictures. Really don’t bother growing one your self (unless your lady convinces you to). This one is at least behaving a little better than the couple previous ones I ran. Major calmag whore. I don’t know how old she is because I don’t care. Bout a month.

In fairness, if she would have told me she just really likes the high, I prolly would have made sure it didn’t survive seedlinghood. “Oh, well. Old seeds, you know.” But she knows how to get me to do shit I don’t want to do!Hell of a story, but seriously good on you for growing something your wife may enjoy even if it’s not your liking! Intrigued to see how she turns out!

Just wanted to take a second and give a shout out to @ImpulsiveGrower. Ordered an RS–11 clone and a pack of grape gas ibx seeds. Showed up in two days. Very securely packaged. Threw in a second cut of RS-11. Cuts look excellent. Very clean, very healthy and shit tons of roots. Threw them straight into half gallons and they have already taken a couple feeds and are loving life. Looking forward to getting them in the rotation. I have received a lot of cuts through the mail. These are some of the nicest I have received yet.
After about 18 hours and a couple light feeds.

Afternoon farmers. Hope your grows are treating you well. Quick update on these couple ladies. Today’s the last day of week seven, day 48 of 12-12.
The sugarpants is swelling like crazy. She seems completely unfazed by having as many tops as she does. Wanted to see if I could knock the edge off of her stretch (it’s a little much for smaller spaces) running her with lots of tops. It shaved off a little, but mostly what it did was just pack out the space. Pretty stoked about it. This batch is all for me. Always end up sharing a lot of her nuggets.
Running them this way did knock the stretch down on the umbrella drank. She is also one that can get pretty aggressively tall. Her flowers look excellent to me and the frost is on point, but this grow really doesn’t do justice to what she is capable of. The first two pictures are from today. The third is from a prior grow of this plant from a couple years ago. You can see the light damage on the couple tallest tops, which is why I have been playing around with knocking down her stretch.
As soon as these girls wrap up, this space will get switched over to testing new and new-to-me ladies in a perpetual sog. Setting up another space (2.5 x 4.5) to run my bigger girls, but only known quantities there. Should be a fun year. Cheers

I have apparently decided that 2023 will be a year of self punishment. Going back to running more smaller plants for testing/hunting. Looking forward to the variety, but I know the process is going to keep me busy AF.
For some added fun, why not throw in one or two 12 week sativas in small spaces. I love almost nothing more than really good sativa pot for my personal stash. I let this mom go a couple years ago, but I have a few more fems a buddy made that I turned up over the weekend. Southern Kenyan landrace.

Potting up the Jamaican kings bread x PK x PK into their final 2-gal coco homes. My wife is from the desert southwest and likes to grow cactus. She accidentally turned me on to these cool little pots that have max drainage and also root prune for you. I ended up stealing all of hers. There are little channels down the side and each of them force the roots straight down and out the sides or bottom to air prune. End up with nice little rows of roots ready to spread out and get cooking.

Things are getting busy in the veg tent getting ready to test new (to me) cultivars, including a cut of RS-11 from @ImpulsiveGrower and a handful of cuts from @Trustfall (Payton, candy rain, gcc and sacred princess 11). Thank you both gentlemen. Everyone looking good, other than a few of the smaller cuts getting a bit heavier feed and lighting than they were ready for while I was out of town. They are perking back up and shaking off the funk tho.
These grape gas ibx testers from @ImpulsiveGrower are cranking. 6 days above ground and I swear they are visibly bigger every time I see them. Really healthy fat seeds and really nice healthy seedlings. Liking that as a sign of things to come.
Also while I was out, one of the little teen Jamaican hybrids decided to start showing his man parts already. Also ate himself so hungry he turned almost totally purple. I like his style. Once my new space for handling pollen-making boys and girls is ready, he may be the first dude that gets to take a ride.

These big girls are coasting in for a landing. They are pretty well ripe for me, but I won’t have time to cut them until probably Monday. Day 66 of 12-12.
Sugarpants (not surprised she’s throwing down mids this size, but I am a little surprised when she’s running with 30 tops in 5 gallons of coco…this strain is a real workhorse)
Umbrella drank (her mids are almost the same size, but they are in the trellis and really hard to photograph…frost is on point tho)
Notable in the veg area are these 9-day old grape gas ibx testers from @ImpulsiveGrower. They are gettin it. Adjusting some times accordingly. These are gonna be ready to hit the flowering space sooner than anticipated. Love them healthy little babies.
